A mother’s tears weight more than the sea.”
-BreakofDawn by D. Snow

Dinadala ng banayad na simoy ng hangin ang payapang tunog ng mga alon.

Makikita ang papalubog na araw sa kanluran na pinipinturahan ng napakagandang kulay ang kalangitan.

“It’s so peaceful.” Komento ni Alicia habang isinasayaw ng hangin ang kanyang mahabang buhok

“I hope everyday is always like this.” Sang-ayon ni Damon habang pinapanood ang papalubog na araw.

“The sunset is so pretty. It reminds me of the Princess.” Alicia

“Leona?” Damon

“Yes. Do you think Princess Leona is fairing well in there?” Alicia asked curiously

“She’s probably causing trouble over there. It’s Leona we’re talking about afterall.” Natatawang tugon ni Damon

“It’s been four years since Leona ascended.” Damon

“Are we going back to the capital to celebrate ‘Princess Leona’s National Ascension Day’?” Alicia

“Nuh, life is more peaceful here on the South.” Damon

“Then I hope the Princess comes back and  visit soon. I know you already miss her.” Alicia

“Why aren’t you jealous? I want to see you get jealous.” Reklamo ni Damon. Hindi nya pa nakitang magselos si Alicia.

“I have faith in you. Besides, I know she’s your bestfriend. And you treat her like an older sister.” Alicia answered with a smile

Damon smiled, “Leona is my bestfriend. Just like Asher. But wait, what do you mean she’s like my older sister? Shouldn’t I be the big brother?” nagtapos sa reklamo ang pangungusap ni Damon.

Alicia laughed, “It’s because the princess is obviously more matured.”

“Are you implying that I’m childish?” Damon

“Aren’t you?” Alicia

Damon smiled, “Well, maybe I ‘am.”

Then the two of them smiled at each other.

Damon pulled her to his embrace, “Sometimes, I don’t know what to do with you.... But I don’t know what to do without you either.”

“Me too.” Alicia respond as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

“Mommy, Daddy, aren’t you forgetting something?” a small voice interrupted

The two of them looked down at the small child behind them who’s busy building a sandcastle.

“Is our Sylvia feeling left out?” Damon teased

“Daddy, if you don’t stop being mean, I won’t let you join my tea party with Mr. Bunny and Mrs Teddy Bear.” The cute little girl warned. She even tiptoed to make herself look more fierce.

Damon stop himself from smiling, “Yes, Daddy is sorry.”

“My little queen.” Alicia then lifted the little girl to her embrace

“No, she’s our little princess.” Damon

“No Daddy, I don’t want to be a princess! I’m a queen!” Sylvia

“But princesses are pretty, and they can play all day.” Damon

“No, Queens are better Daddy.” Sylvia
