They say happily ever after is not real.

They’re not wrong.

Damon watched a little girl walking hand in hand with her parents on the crowded streets of the city.

He misses them.

His family.

Alicia, his wife. And Sylvia, their daughter.

After a long sigh Damon continued towards a tall gate.

The guards who strictly guards the gate let him through without any questions.

Just who is Damon? He is the god who lords over darkness and light. He is the sole apprentice and successor of the God of Darkness, Arius. He will be the next God of Darkness among the ten Great Gods. Who would dare stop him from entering the main office of the Ten Great Gods?

Damon walks through the familiar hallway, and found the door to Arius’ office.

He knocked twice, and without waiting for any response he walked inside.

“Why are you here again?” Arius asked with the expression that obviously says ‘get lost’...

“Old man, when are you going to retire? Leona has been the Supreme Goddess for over a century now, Asher is already the God of Earth, Alfonse is already the God of Ice.. Even Immature is now the God of Lightning!” reklamo ni Damon

“Stop calling me Old Man! Why did I even chose you as my successor? Sumasakit ang ulo ko.” Reklamo ni Arius

“Senyales yan na kailangan mo na magretired.” Giit pa ni Damon

Lalo lang sumakit ang ulo ni Arius sa naging tugon nito.

“By the way, is it true?” Damon suddenly asked with a serious expression.

“What?” Arius

“Is the baby in Leona’s belly really... Ainsley’s reincarnation?” Damon

Arius looked at him and nod.

“Is that okay?” Damon

“What do you mean?” Arius

“If someone is reborn without any memories of their past life, are they still the same person?” Damon asked seriously

“It’s still the same soul, but I can't say they’re still the same person. I don’t see my self as Kuro of the past. I don’t see Leona as Dawn of the past either.” Arius

“But will your child be alright? We all know him in his past life. Won’t he live in the shadows of a past life that he can’t even remember?” Damon

“Do you think Leona will let that happen?” Arius

“No.” Damon responded seriously. He clearly knows what kind of a person Leona is.

“When is the baby's due date anyway? Maybe you should just retire and become a stay-at-home dad after the baby is born.” Damon suggested

“I’ll think about it.” Tugon ni Arius

This is the first time that Arius said that. Normally, he would kick Damon out of his office as his response.

“That’s great! Think about it. I’ll drop by some other day.” Damon beamed and waved goodbye before Arius could even change his mind.

He dropped by Cornelius’ office to say hi.

“How’s it going?” Damon

“I want to retire already.” Cornelius responded as he go through several documents at once.
