"So..." Demetri cocked his head to the side, that smirk playing on his lips once again. He was leaning against the table next to mine, arms crossed, and legs crossed at his ankles, "that was interesting."

"Wait, so that's your ex-boyfriend?" Nikos pointed to where Matt and Mia had disappeared to down the road.

I nodded my head and grabbed the cocktail menu from the table. I fanned myself with it as Mela threw the back of her hand into his chest, "obviously, keep up will you."

"How long were you together?" one of the brothers asked me, whoever it was I couldn't remember their name.

"Six years," I replied, disgust coating the words. "Six bloody years, you know how long they've been together, huh?" I added, pointing at nothing.

My face must have been burning into the brother because his eyes widened and his skin paled, "er...no," a clear of his throat and an uncomfortable shuffle. "I don't know."

"I'll tell you," I replied, standing from my chair, the legs scraping across the stony concrete and gathering the attention of most people in the vicinity. "I don't know! That's how long they've been together, no clue," I sung.

"I can tell you though, that either they've been going at it like rabbits for months, years!" my hands fly in the air, and I knew I was nearing a mental breakdown. "Or she's not the woman I found in bed with him five months ago. Didn't get a good enough view of her backside to determine I'm afraid."

"Moúmia, what does 'going at it like rabbits' mean?" Hebe asks, tugging on Mela's sundress.

I slam my hand over my mouth and glance to Mela, "oh shit."

When Hebe's little cousin starts chanting the word shit as he marches around the taverna, I close my eyes and will myself to get swallowed into a black hole.

"This is not going how I thought it would be," I mutter, dropping back into the chair.

"Okay, perímene," Demetri speaks, holding his palms out. I didn't know what he said but it made those flutters stir again. "Maybe you should head back to the villa, and you can work your frustrations out and be fresh faced in the morning, and everyone can just start over. You," he points directly to me, "you can start over fresh, yes?"

His tone is so light and caring, it almost makes me want to cry. But I don't focus too much on that thought for now, only the part where Demetri told me to work my frustrations out. Now my minds gone back to B.O.B. Great, along with all these bloody flutters, now I do need to find an adult shop on the island. Can this day get any worse?

Until then, I'll have to work my frustrations out in the only way I know best.

Grabbing my bag, I stand, making sure my chair doesn't cause as much noise this time and give a polite smile to the Andreas'. "I'm sorry for this morning, for everything really, since I got here. I promise I'm not usually this...unhinged."

Mela smiles and strokes a hand over Hebe's brown locks. It's Maria who pipes up from over her coffee to speak, "don't be, we don't get enough drama around here."

"Giagiá," Demetri scowls before turning to me. "I can drive you back to the villa, come on."

At this point, I don't have it in me to argue, and secretly, I kind of want to be in the presence of Demetri for a little while longer and let him drive me back to the villa.

***

When Demetri dropped me off and promised to 'help me get through this,' I smiled as best I could, exactly like I had been all day and headed inside to let my epic breakdown commence.
