"THE ROOM WHERE IT HAPPENS.."

---¤𖠁¤---

Walking with her Father, he rambles on about how she was just going to 'enjoy' seeing Laenor and Rhaenyra. Doing her best to seem interested, her eyes wander around the hallway, inspecting the painting covered walls. There were paintings of dragons and people with silvery white hair. Feeling a pair of eyes drilling into her, she looks over her shoulder, seeing Aemond and another boy watching her. Creepy. Really creepy. They were watching her like a ghost of the past.

Pulling her eyes away from her, she turns back to her Father, still feeling their stares on her. Doing her best to shrug it off, she didn't know why they were staring at her, just that their stares felt odd. What had she done to deserve such stares? She hadn't really talked to anyone besides King Viserys since arriving here. Nor had she done really anything since arriving. Shaking her head, she turns her eyes back to the front, tuning back into her Father's mindless ramblings.

"You can join me soon, I just need to talk to your brother, alright?" He orders, "You will stay out here and wait with the guard. Understood?"

"Yes, father." She nods.

"Thank you, for everything that has happened today. You did very well." He sighs, "While I hoped that we could go back home, there's been a small incident that I wish to get taken care of."

"I understand."

Clasping her hands in front of her, she just replays her conversation with Viserys in her head, wondering what it would be like to enter the Dragonpits. It sounded rather scary. What kind of place was called the Dragon Pits? How was that not a scary place? There was no happy place called, 'Tunnel of Darkness'. Would It smell? What kind of dragons would be in there?

"Jocelyn." He states, making her freeze in place.

"Yes, father? Are you alright?" She questions, "Is everything alright?"

"You⎯I⎯Sometimes, I forget you are not as stubborn as your sister. Nor are you as dramatic as your brother." He chuckles, shaking his head. "What you did today, talking to King Viserys and Prince Aemond. You did very well. I am so proud of you."

"Father, respectfully. I am in a strange place, where I do not know a single person. I do not have the luxury to be dramatic nor do I have the luxury to be stubborn and fight you on this. And thank you, I was scared I'd embarrass myself." She argues, cooly.

"Happy to see you have not lost your tongue." He winks, "I am not trying to bore you with saying this once again. But, you were very nice and a true Lady. I cannot be more proud of you. Your Mother would be proud too."

Biting back a snicker that threatens to escape, there's a giddy feeling blooming in her chest at such a loud declaration. Pushing down the snicker, she silently nods her head, turning her head to the side. A big smile spread across her face. All the pep talks with her Mother. All of the practicing in the mirror. It was all worth it. Walking down the hall with an extra pep in her step, they approach what she assumes is her brother's and Princess Rhaenyra's chambers in silence.
