Vandita was 7 when she received her first camera, the one which was too pink and too cute for any girl to cry and whine for. It was a handy, toy camera with an instant image printer which made her giggle every time the device clicked and the printing sound came followed by a dull, and blur image that her Grandmother cherished, gushing at her little achievement and rewarding her with chocolate cookies every time she clicked a vague image, be it all black or her little brother's pouting face or any part of grandparents house.

It was meant to be a small gift from her grandparents to avert her thoughts from her parents. It all started with her Parent's teacher's meeting where her class teacher had explicitly demanded her parent's presence only to be glared at by her mama-bear Gran and later to be demoted to pre-primary for reasons unknown for 7-year-old Vandita but the grown-up.

The poor lady had no idea that Vandita Nair's grandparents were her legal guardian and that her parents were out of the picture. Savitri Subramanian was an overprotective lady, her grandkids were her world and anyone who tried to harm her world would face consequences.

So back to her story, her camera was one of her favorite toys, None knew that her toy would play the protagonist in her career story. Opting for photography as her major and ditching the hopes of any Business degrees her grandparents wished for her, she pursued her love.

Photography was no passion, it was her only love, requited and deep.

She had lived the art, breathed through her device, and seen the world behind that lens, capturing what rejuvenated her soul and ticked her heart.

And deleting her captures was not her forte, Vandita Nair lived through her pictures and no external force could make her delete them.

Neel was no exception.

Skimming through her shots she stopped at one where he was glaring at her.

More specifically her camera.

"My baby" she caressed the black device "Don't be scared of him, alright? You have me to protect you, darling."

Throwing a kiss towards her supposed baby, she doffed her jacket and trousers, changing back into her silk shorts and camisole top she plopped on her bed, staring at the brown ceiling as she thought back to yesterday night, she felt the thrill in his arms, her pulse quickened every time his fingers graced her skin and his tongue, it had the power to bring her up like a crescendo and let her fall to bliss, unimaginable bliss of pleasures.
