Chapter 2

After that disaster of a dinner I avoided speaking to my father. I even stood the night with my best friend Madelyn until my father threaten for me to go back home or else he'll come and get me as if I was a child. Being escorted by the men that worked for my father, I immediately went to his office to resolve me living abruptly. Knocking on his office door I heard him giving me permission to enter. With a stern look on his face I sat across in that same chair from when he broke the marriage news to me.

"Enzo is on his way to see you Lia"

Fidgeting in my seat I couldn't help but to feel annoyed I had to see that barbarian again.

"Oh, is he now"

"You need to stop acting like a child, you will marry him soon and your behavior is quite embarrassing"

Lightly chewing on my lower lip I knew I acted rudely during dinner but my emotions got the best of me.

"You know what's embarrassing dad? That I'm marrying a man whóre that's sleeps with anything with a skirt, I bet his penis has friction burn becau-"

"Es suficiente!"

(That's enough!)

Shìt, my father only spoke Spanish when he's loving or really pissed.

"You will not embarrass me Giuliana, you agreed to fulfill this arrangement. Now please try to get along with Vincenzo, he's a great man and will take care of you well"

Lowering my head I could see how my actions were deemed childish, I stormed out of dinner and I just mentioned Vincenzo's manhood to my father.

"I'm sorry daddy, all I ask is to let me finish the semester. I'll marry Vincenzo without anymore objections, just please let me finish these last two months"

Walking toward me my father kneeled down and hugged me.

"I know this is tough my darling, in due time you will see this is what's best for you. I'd let you finish school but you now have a fiancé that you have to discuss that with"

Nodding my head I really had to kiss Vince's ass to get my way. Speaking of the devil is when when we heard the doorbell ring.

"I'll let him in daddy, you can go rest while I speak to him"

Nodding his head and smiling, I kissed his cheek while walking out of his office with him beside me. Walking down the spiral staircase and toward the entry, I opened the door and saw Vincenzo standing there with his hands in his pockets.

"Come in"

"Glad to see you in a better mood"

Walking behind the door to allow him entrance I immediately closed the door behind him. Walking through the foyer I guided him to the formal living room where we were able to talk to one another. Marie quickly appeared and offered refreshments.

"Would you like anything to drink sir?"

"I'll have a martini Marie, thank you"

"Tea for you Lia?"

"Yes and thank you Marie"

Unbuttoning a button from his vest I couldn't help but noticed how tan and muscular he was. Walking by me to take a seat I could smell his amazing delicious cologne.

He's beautiful

Snapping out of acting like a raging hormonal teenager, I had to focus and remember nothing will ever come of us and this whole relationship was out of convenience.
