"You ready to go?" You asked the kids.

"Yeah."

"Can we take Shelby with us?"

"You're a funny kid. Absolutely not."

"Bye, Amber."

"Bye, Martha. We'll come back to visit soon."

"You better."

"Where's Clark?"

"Hell if I know. You know how he likes to disappear."

You opened the front door and and saw him on the porch. You wrapped your arm around him and leaned your head against his shoulder.

"You okay?"

"Yeah. I just can't believe he's actually gone."

"I know. I'm sorry, babe."

"I'll be okay. I just gotta get used to him not being here."

"It'll get better. I promise."

He put his arm around your shoulder and kissed your forehead.

"I love you."

"I love you too"

You went in for a kiss until he pulled away.

"What's wrong."

"I hear something."

"That's not exactly unusual."

"I hear something coming towards us."

"What is it?"

"I don't know."

He dashed away and shot into the sky a few seconds later. Conner came outside and looked up.

"What's he doing?"

"He heard something."

He listened carefully and turned back to you.

"I hear it too."

He followed Clark to go find whatever it was that they heard. Less than 10 minutes later, the both slowly came back down to the ground carrying a large silver pod.

"What the hell?" You asked.

"It's-"

"I don't care what it is, Clark. You need to get it into the barn before the neighbors see."

They quickly took it the barn. You went in there with them and shut the doors.

"What is it?"

"I have no idea." Conner said.

"It's Kryptonian."

"What?"

"It's a pod. Like the one I came to Earth in."

"What's it doing here?"

"There's someone inside it." Conner pointed out.

"Step back."

You took a few steps back as they both grabbed each side of it. They pulled each side apart until it opened with a hissing sound. You walked back over to it and looked inside. There was a blonde girl laying inside. She couldn't have been more than 20.

"Is she dead?"

"I heard a heartbeat."

"Is she...Kryptonian?" You asked your husband.

"It's not possible."

"You didn't think that Conner was possible either."

The girl opened her eyes and gasped for air. She sat up and coughed for a moment before her breathing evened out.
