Man if uncle finds out about this party we're dead. There's like 300 people at this party. It's gonna take hours to clean this place up.

I hear a loud crash down the hall.

I assumed it was just some drunk student stumbling down the hall looking for a bathroom or something.

When me and my cousin go to investigate I see Trinity standing there.

She looked so beautiful. Her Hair was out in a curly fro. She had on a short gold dress too.

I never seen her dress like this before. I'm not gonna lie I was speechless.

We're just friends I can't think like that.

It was kinda cute to see how she was uncomfortable though.

Wait why is she here?

And what does she mean that she's a party person tonight?

She stormed off all mad after I tried to offer to take her home.

Did I miss something? Wasn't she just hurt about Zeke earlier?

I started to use common sense.

I already know what is gonna happen tonight, and I need to stop her before she gets out of control.

I leave the hallway and go searching through the crowd to spot Trinity.

I hope she's not drunk passed out anywhere or being harassed by any of these weirdo guys.

She couldn't have gotten far so she has to still be on the first level.

I head out to the pool area.

I step over red cups, soda cans and pool floaties.

Sigh. This is gonna be a serious clean up.

It's almost as packed outside as inside.

I finally spot Trinity dancing with her friend.

I can tell she has had a few drinks.

I kinda chuckle a little bit watching her because I know she still feels uncomfortable. But she looks cute trying to fit in.

As I'm watching a see a familiar figure walk up to her.

He looks drunk too and is getting a little too close.

No one else is paying attention and she looks bothered by him.

It's Zeke.

Here we go. Not this guy again.

I make my way over separating the little bit of space between them and put my arm around Trinity.

"Bro why are you Talking to her?" I say almost angry and annoyed.

"So what?" He says drunkenly. "You her man now?" He chuckles.

Everything in me wants to put my hands on him.

"Don't do it please" Trinity says. "It's not Worth it."

I stare at him longer to scare him off because I know for a fact he's all talk.

If I hit him, then the party gets shut down, cops show up and we're definitely caught.

"Trinity let's go." I say now having zero patience because I had to be the bigger person.

She doesn't debate and follows me. I hold her hand as she drunkenly stumbles behind me.

We go to my car and sit inside.

"Why did you take me from the party? I was having fun." She says leaning back with her eyes closed.

"Because Trinity this is not you. And you were being harassed..." I say.

"Why do you keep treating me like a child?" She said says.

Sometimes I don't understand her.

"Im not treating you like a child I just expect
more of you. You say you are a Christian but you
aren't acting like it. I mean im not into all of that
God stuff but you believe in it. I mean I ain't no
atheist either but it's inspiring to see you live the
way you do....but now your just like everybody else.

I let out a sigh.

I never get deep like this talking to anybody.

She sits there speechless. Almost like she didn't expect to us answer.

I mean I didn't expect it either.

This is getting awkward.

"But you know, it's whatever" I add then lean back into the seat and look out the window.

There's the silence again.

I glance in her direction and she's already looking at me.

"I appreciate that you care and see me like that." She says touching my hand.

We're still looking at each other but the awkwardness is gone.

The only light in my car are the lights from the neighborhood streetlights.

I can hear the muffled party music from the house but its still quiet enough in the car.
