Diana stumbled out of the hallway, her senses on high alert.
"Let's never do that again." Viktor panted.
"What, narrowly escape the apocalypse?" Five demanded.
"It's kind of our thing, isn't it?" Diego asked.
"There's something very wrong about that."
Ben reached his hand up and hit the buffalo's tail. "Same suite, just ass-backward."
"No hyperbole there."
Ben shook his head. "This is some hardcore Alice in Wonderland shit."
"Yeah, it only gets weirder."
Reginald hurried out, and panted. Everyone turned to look at him, and Viktor asked, "Where's Klaus?"
"Children, I'm sorry, but your brother...I did all I could, but he didn't make it through in time. The Kugelblitz has claimed its last victim."
Diana looked at Five, as he spoke with a shaky voice. "No, he was right behind me when I entered the tunnel."
"We need to go back." Diana said.
"There's nothing to go back to." He answered. "Children, there will be time for tears later. Right now, we have to keep moving."
Reginald walked off, and everyone stood in disbelief.
Diana followed behind everyone slowly, and looked around the hotel.
"It's magnificent."
"You guys should've stayed here. This place is way nicer." Ben said.
"Lila and I barely got out alive last time, remember?"
"Yeah, but I'm here this time, and the numbers are in our favor."
"Well, whatever it was, it was super strong, fast, and super pissed."
Diego nodded. "And whatever you do, do not ring this bell. Unless you wanna lose a finger or a tentacle."
Ben rolled his eyes.
Sloane snarled, "I'll take my chances."
"Don't!" Lila said.
"Get out of my way."
"To take out this thing, we need to be in the right state of mind."
