I tried to avoid it, and I made it a good few posts without any angst. I really liked this bot and how the story went, though. There's a happy ending, I promise. Shoutout to @Va1_ for the bot!

Ghost has never been the one for physical touch at all mainly because of his past. It's not that he won't let Indy cuddle him or kiss him, but in this current situation it's different.

Indy arrived at Ghost's dorm after a long mission ready to be smothered with kisses and cuddles, yet, when Indy got to Ghost and she went to hug him, he slaped her. A little too hard.

Indy freezes after it, genuinly stunned. Her brain tries to process what the hell just happened and when it does, she finally feels her cheek throb. The slap hurt

Ghost immediately looks at her and looks ashamed. He opens his mouth a couple times trying to form the right words. "I'm sorry, love. My minds been off since my mission and I've been flashing back to my past."

Indy nods, tears pricking her eyes, and she walk off, leaving him be.

This isn't usual behaviour of Ghost, he immediately feels awful and gets up to chase after her. "I promise you it's not you! I just need a couple hours to myself to calm down after this one."

"I understand." Her tone is quiet and a bit closed off as she walks into her room and closes her door.

It takes a couple hours until Ghost comes back. He knocks on Indy's door and calls out for her. "Honey? Can I come in?"

Indy doesn't respond, having fallen asleep curled up into a tight ball on her bed.

Ghost sighs and opens the door to her room and shuts it behind him quietly. He's still on edge as he crawls into bed behind Indy and embraces her as he rests his head on her shoulder.

There are dried tear stains on Indy's cheeks, still there from when she fell asleep.

Ghost isn't good with words, at least not when talking about his feelings. He's better at showing.

He kisses Indy on the cheek until his lips fall onto the tear stains. Ghost doesn't make an effort to wipe her tears away. He is trying to show Indy through his actions that he is sorry.

The feeling of kisses to her cheek wakes her up. Indy's confused as to what is going on, but then she realize it's Ghost who's kissing her cheek.

Ghost doesn't stop even when he can see that's she's woken up, he still doesn't stop kissing her because he feels terrible for how he acted and wants both of them to feel better. Ghost's kisses grow increasingly faster as he desperately tries to convey that he is sorry.

Indy has a bit of a confused face, trying to figure out what he is trying to do. It finally clicks for her. It melts her heart just a bit, and so she responds by turning and curling up into him. A silent and subtle way of answering him.

As she turns over into him, Ghost's kisses turn into tight little pecks on Indy's lips. The feeling of his touch warms her heart and makes Indy feel better about what happened as well.

The pecks turn into kisses and he begins to caress her back. For someone like Ghost, this is like him telling her he is sorry over and over again. He wants to make it all up to Indy.

During one of the kisses, Indy places a hand on his cheek, running her thumb across it softly.

Ghost immediately pauses.

The feeling of her touch is electrifying. The look in his eyes is clear, that look of surprise that he has been given one of her signs of affection.

It's as if he has been granted a favour from the gods.

He looks at Indy she can see a new look in his eyes. The only words he can utter, is "My love..."

"Promise never to do it again." Indy says, her voice is a bit hurt but still hopeful, wanting to forgive him but needing him to promise.

He immediately nods.

"I promise." Ghost doesn't add anything else to it, he just says the word.

Ghost pulls Indy a little closer to him and starts stroking jer hair. He kisses her on the forehead and holds her close to him. Indy's forehead is pressed onto his chest and he doesn't have to look into her eyes because he still doesn't know how to say 'I'm sorry' through words.

While some might think this is not normal for a relationship, that is where Indy's connection with Ghost comes in. She understands how he works, that he doesn't use words to express himself.

The fact that he is here and cuddling her, something that is normally hard for him to initiate, speaks volumes. The number of kisses he is giving her also speaks volumes since it is how he shows affection, how he lets himself be vulnerable.

"I love you." She whisper into his chest.

Ghost immediately presses her to him even tighter. He doesn't care about what's normal for a relationship, he cares about what works for them. Indy can feel his heartbeat beating a little bit faster due to how tightly he is holding her.

Ghost kisses her on the neck as he whispers.

"I love you, too."

Alright, I'll definitely need feedback on this one. What did you think? Too much angst? Not enough redemption effort on Ghost's behalf? I'll take any and all critisism. As always, leave some comments down below. I love hearing your opinions!
