As Ashley entered the hospital, she felt a surge of excitement mingled with nervous anticipation. Making her way through the bustling corridors, she headed straight for Carlisle Cullen's office. Knocking lightly on the door, she entered to find Carlisle already at his desk, his warm smile welcoming her.

"Good morning, Ashley," Carlisle greeted her warmly.

"Good morning, Dr. Cullen," Ashley replied, returning his greeting with a smile.

Carlisle gestured towards the corner of the room. "We've set up a temporary desk for you over there. It's small for now, but we'll get you a better one soon," he explained.

Ashley nodded appreciatively, making her way over to the designated area and placing her bag beneath the desk. Carlisle approached her, handing her a small pass.

"This is your access pass. It'll allow you to go to areas that normal doctors and nurses can't access," Carlisle explained.

Ashley took the pass, examining it with interest before tucking it into her pocket. "Thank you, Dr. Cullen. I appreciate it," she said gratefully.

Before she could ask another question, Ashley remembered her obligation to pick Bella up from school. "Dr. Cullen, would it be alright if I leave a little before 3 PM? I need to pick up my sister from school," she requested.

Carlisle smiled understandingly. "Of course, Ashley. I also have to leave around 3 PM, so the timing works out perfectly," he reassured her.

Curiosity bubbling within her, Ashley turnedto Carlisle with a question. "What will I be doing today?" she asked.

Carlisle considered her question for a moment before responding. "You'll start by answering phone calls and emails. Later, you'll accompany me when I visit a patient," he explained.

Ashley nodded, taking in the information. "Sounds good," she replied.

Carlisle gestured towards the computer on Ashley's desk. "Your first task will be to check and respond to any emails and phone calls that come through. It's important to stay organized and responsive," he explained, his tone patient and encouraging.

As Ashley powered up the computer, she felt a rush of anticipation coursing through her veins. The screen flickered to life, revealing a flood of messages and inquiries awaiting her attention. With a sense of purpose, she dove into her work, methodically sorting through the emails and addressing each query with care and precision.

As she responded to the messages, Ashley couldn't help but marvel at the intricate web of communication that connected the hospital to the community it served. From appointment requests to urgent medical inquiries, the messages offered a glimpse into the diverse needs of the patients and their families.

With each response she crafted, Ashley made sure to convey warmth, empathy, and professionalism. She understood the importance of her role in ensuring that patients felt heard, valued, and supported—a responsibility she embraced wholeheartedly.

As the morning wore on, Ashley found herself immersed in her work, her focus unwavering as she tackled each task with diligence and determination. With Carlisle's guidance, she delved deeper into the hospital's administrative processes, gaining valuable insights into the inner workings of the medical profession.

Midway through the morning, Carlisle approached Ashley with a gentle smile. "Are you ready to join me on a patient visit, Ashley?" he asked, his eyes twinkling with excitement.

Ashley's heart skipped a beat with anticipation as she rose from her seat, ready to embark on this new adventure. Together, they made their way through the labyrinthine corridors of the hospital, their footsteps echoing against the polished linoleum floors.
