The slap-like sound, along with others, repeatedly bounced off of the walls. I eyed the targets as Yejun yelled go. I picked my knee up and snapped my foot to the target. I did that three more times and bounced back into place.

"You're doing good." said Yejun. A sweat droplet danced down his face as his dark eyes analyzed me. I gave him a small smile and gestured to the targets. As soon as he said 'fighting stance junbi', the master said pado and everyone stopped what they were doing. "Yes sir!" we all yelled.

Master Roman started giving us tips on how to properly angle our bodies and kick. I was the only no belt here. Everyone else was above green belt, so I figured he was referring to me. We did kicking combinations for the next twenty minutes and took a thirty second water break.

I looked up from my water bottle and caught Yejun's gaze. It's a lot easier to read him, and what I saw was admiration. Seeing that look gave me motivation to try hard to exceed his expectations. I wiped my sweat and the master called us to do our forms. Since I was a no belt, I didn't have a form, so Yejun took me to the back of the class and made me practice my stepping.

"Fighting stance junbi!" he yelled.

"Aiya!" I responded as I put my hands up.

"One!" he yelled. I started bouncing and Yejun started circling me. "Two!" I switched feet and kept on bouncing. Yejun stayed behind me and I stared at him through the mirror. "Three!" I stomped in front of me with my back leg and noticed Yejun wasn't looking at me. My face instantly got hot as I got out of fighting stance and slapped his arm. "Ow!" he laughed, his cheeks slightly red. "You really have a nice ass, Len." I thought I was going to die as I covered my smile. The master started to make his way to the back and Yejun instantly became serious.

I looked over at the master and failed miserably at hiding my smile. The master raised an eyebrow and walked over to Yejun. I let out a loud laugh when Master Roman slapped Yejun in the back of his head. "S-Sir! Everyone is hitting me lately." Master Roman said something in Korean and Yejun grinned. He responded and looked at me. Patting Yejun on the shoulder, Master Roman walked to the front of the room. I caught eyes lingering on me and some of them still laughing at him.

We held hands as he walked me to the train station. I was quite nervous when he first intertwined his hand in mine. Because they get sweaty easily, I was afraid he wouldn't like holding hands with me. 8th Ave was quiet. I looked up and saw about four or five stars, suddenly missing the Jamaican night. The cold wind bit at me and I suddenly realized I was cold. Who would've thought December was right around the corner? Yejun slung his arm around my shoulder and pulled me close. "Are you cold?" I shook my head and he rolled his eyes. "How many times do I have to tell you you're a bad liar?" He took his scarf off and wrapped it around my neck.

We stared at each other. His eyes seemed to blend in with the night, and even though I wanted to look away, I couldn't. The winter wind tossed his hair to the side and I desperately wanted to run my hands through it. Why is he so damn tall? My hand reached for his cheek and he leaned into it. His skin was so cold and soft. "Yejun, are you cold?" I asked. He stared at me through his lashes and clasped my hand in his. "No, your hand is very warm."
