I pull away from Ashton.

"I um, I should go check on.." I point my thumb to the door.

"Yeah, I understand." He sighs.

"Yeah." I sniffle and give him a frail smile.

"Clem. Are... are you okay? With everything..." He mumbles.

"No, I'm... I'm not. Hopefully one day I'll get over all of this you know?" I answer.

"Yeah... um." He points to the necklace.

"No. Even looking at it is sickening." I sigh.

"Understandable." He agrees.

I walk out closing the door behind me. I knock on Annette's door. When she opens it she stares at me.

She stares at me with such hate and emptiness that it burned my eyes. It felt like I was looking at a void of nothing. This feeling was terrorizing me.

I stare back at her, with the same hate emptiness she approached me with. The tensity between us was insane. The air was filled with nothing but silence.

She's the first to speak.

"Crazy right?"

"Annette... you don't have to put on an act." I speak.

"How do you think I've gotten through life?" She chuckles.

"Maybe it's time to take of that mask." I tell her.

"I'd rather hide my identity than show it." She tenses up.

"Annette..."

"Why are you here?" She retorts.

"I just wanted to see how your doing." I respond.

"I'm doing fine. Thanks." She snarls at me.

"What was happening? One minute she's joking and smiling at will, now it's like she doesn't want anything to do with me."

"Okay. What's your problem?" I snap.

"My problem is what just happened down there!"

"You don't think that it wasn't traumatizing to me too?!" I comment

"Clementine, I just need time. This is all to much for me to comprehend." She calms down.

"Umm, yeah. I understand." I mention.

"I just can't believe that..."

"We're related?" I add in.

"Yeah, it's staggering."  She exhales

"I can surm-"

"Yeah, I know." She interrupts

"I'm just speechless." I snicker.

"Yeah. I should get going." She smiles.

"Okay, are you sure your okay?" I ask once more.

"Yeah..." she sighs.

She closes the door and I walk back into my dorm. I walk in to see Ashton laughing at his phone. I walk over there to see what he's doing but he quickly hides it.

"Oh, hey Clem." He sits upright.

"Hey, what were you laughing about?" I smile and lean in a bit.

"N-nothing, nothing." He stutters.

"Okay..." I lean in closer. I was determined to find out what he was laughing about, but not make it so obvious at the same time.

"I... I need to use the bathroom." He dashes toward the door.
