aw man, he just bought a balmain
he thought that would keep her 'round.

"baby, close your eyes."

jacob covered my eyes with his hands, guiding me to our bedroom. my mind was off of him, it was focused on ethan- no surprise. i held his hands over my face as i stumbled towards the bed before he placed a thick box in my hands.

i breathe in lightly, praying to god that it's not a ring. he helps me open it with my eyes still shut. once he empties out the wrapping i let my hand trail against the metal item. it's thick and i force myself not to open my eyes to see what it is.

"it's a balmain watch!"

i gasp in shock, it was gorgeous with rose gold linings and numbers. i smile hard and hug him tightly. he wraps it around my wrist securely and kisses my hand in satisfaction. i continue analyzing the beautiful watch when i notice the price tag is still in the box.

i slowly tuck my fingers under the obnoxiously noisy wrapping and glance at the numbers; $2,400. jeez.
