JORDAN'S POV

I woke up during the middle of the night from being so cold. Jason's house is huge, so it's harder to get it heated properly.

Goosebumps coated my skin as I walked down the large hallways. Just as I entered the living room, I gasped at a silhouette sitting in one of the chairs.

"Jason?" I whispered, hoping it was him.

"You need to leave." He sounded tired, and almost as if he had cried.

"What?"

"I'm done with you. Go home."

"But... What about us?" I spit it out as fast as I could. I don't even know if he really has feelings for me.

"What about us? You think I'm into you? Please." He chuckled darkly.

"Fine." My throat felt like it was swelling as he spoke.

I bolted for the door and ran down the street of the night as fast as my legs could go. If I am actually free this time, I want to stay free. I can't go back to him and have my life ruined over and over on a daily basis.

Tears stung at my eyeballs, only because I'm confused. I feel as if my heart had been crushed by him. I thought I was actually going to be something to him, but I'm not.

I know I'll never compare to Jessica in Jason's eyes.
