Every day, every evening, every spare hour was spent preparing, practicing, ensuring that we were the best of the best.

Lily started to join us, and so did Peter. Sometimes there would only be two of us, sometimes more, but every spare second was spent in there, finding new techniques, ensuring that our senses were the best that they could possibly be.

Lily and I spent hours in the library, late at night, huddled up with blankets and tea, skimming through old spell books for anything that could give us an advantage in battle.

We started to blindfold each other, dueling without vision. At first it was difficult, but eventually, my senses adjusted.

The slightest creak of the floor. The sound of clothes rustling, even just a breath. Expelliarmus.

We were getting better and better, stronger and faster every single day.

Sirius and I were alone in the room of requirement. It usually seemed that we were the ones most keen to practice, but still, it was rare for us to be alone these days.

Everything was black thanks to the blindfold clouding my vision.

I could feel his breath on my neck as he stood behind me. He swept my hair over my left shoulder and began trailing a single finger up the right side of my neck.

I tilted my head to the left, exposing more of my neck.

His lips softly replaced his finger and I sucked in a breath.

"You know what day it is?" He mumbled against my neck.

I breathed out, and he bit my neck, causing me to cry out.

My fingers clenched at the pain, before his tongue lightly swept over where he had previously bitten, soothing it.

I gave out an involuntary moan.

"I said, do you know what day it is?" He said, pulling back, making me feel cold for the lack of his presence.

"Sirius." I complained, aching for his touch.

I heard his footsteps as he slowly walked around me. I could feel that he was in front of me, almost as though I could sense his presence.

"It's February the 14th blondie." He said, crashing his lips to mine.

His grip was tight on my hand as he pulled me through the deserted hallways.

"Sirius!" I whispered as he yanked my arm.

He turned his head slightly to the side, but continuing walking, dragging me along.

"Where are we going?"

"That would defeat the purpose of the concept of surprise." He said, flashing me an excited grin.

I rolled my eyes and continued rushing along behind him.

He stopped suddenly, making me walk into his back.

"Ouch." I complained, rubbing my nose while he stayed silent.

"Sirius?" I asked, ducking my head to the side to get a better view of him.

His eyebrows were furrowed and he quickly lifted a tapestry from the wall, revealing a hidden passageway behind it.

"Knew it was somewhere around here." He said, running a hair through his messy black curls.

He grabbed my hand again and yanked me behind the tapestry.

I wondered how he knew about this passageway, how he knew about the passageway leading to Hogsmeade, how did he know all this? Were there more he knew about? Were there more yet to be discovered?
