*Beth*

We reached to school and we both got out .
He didn't even stop to say hi to Cathy and Ally .
"Why isn't he talking much to us ?" Cathy asked.
"I don't know,"  I said .
"Your losing him , "  Ally said.
I looked more into the wide red double doors and saw Alex by his locker .

He closed his locker and saw me looking at him. 
He smiled at me and I smiled back and he went his class .
"I am ,"  I said as I went back to where Ally and Cathy stood .
"Ever since I regretted him , he has been this way ,"I said as well .

"Maybe he is  tried of chasing you ," Ally said .
"I wish he wasn't ," I said in a sad tone and then the bell rang .
We went our classes and then it was lunch .
We took our lunch and went to our table .
Alex always sat at our table with us but instead , he sat with his friends at their table .

I saw that Evan smiled at Ally and Ally smiled back at him . 
Evan and Ally hungout on Saturday , a day after they met at my house .
Ever since then , they have been  flirting with each other,  trying to get the other to admit that the other has had a crush on the other .

We all sat down and started to eating their lunches expect me .
I sat there and asked Cathy and Ally , "I pushed him away more when I regretted him ".
They looked at Alex at his table and said "Yep ".
I covered my face with my hands and I was stuck in my misery.

I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked up to see Alex .
"Beth , can you get a ride with Cathy or Ally . I have things to do . Thanks ," He said and left without Cathy or Ally to agreeing to his request .
The bell rang and I still was sad since he has better things to do .

I walked to my next class and the others and  I was still upset .
I was told I was wanted in my writing class .
I went to that classroom when the bell rang for the end of the day. 
When I arrived there , Alex was there talking to his teacher .

She looked at the door and saw me and said , "Beth , come in ".
I went towards them and Ms . King said "Alex is not in trouble . I just wanted to let you know that he wrote an excellent story for my class ".
"Ohh okay , " I said. 
"I just thought that if you would like to read his story ," Ms . King said

Alex got into a panic attack and said
"Beth , we should go ," Alex said trying to get me out of the classroom.
"But Alex , I want to read it ," I said. 
"You shouldn't ," Alex said. 
"Alex , she deserves to read it ," Ms . King said trying to get Alex to get me to read it.

"No she doesn't ," Alex said .
"At least think  about it and when you're ready , you can let her read it ," Ms . King said. 
"I'll think about ," Alex said and he took the paper from Ms . King and dragged me out of the class. 
"Alex , what is so bad about the story ?" I asked.

He tried to think of an excuse but he couldn't think of one  .
"Alex ! " I said stopping him by his locker .
He took all his books and put it his bag along with the paper.  
"Beth , I just don't want you read it ," He said .

"Why ?" I asked him. 
"I- Its complicated . Like us ," He said but whispered the last part. 
"What does us have to do with the paper ?"  I asked him .
"Alex ! "Someone yelled from the far end of the hall leading up to the classrooms .
"Beth , I have to go ," Alex said ran to the person that yelled his name .

I was very angry and sad that he didn't want me to read the paper .
Cathy and Ally had other stuff to do so they couldn't give me a ride home .
I had to walk home. 
I slammed the door when I reached home and that frightened my parents and Alex 's mother. 

"Beth ?" My mother asked if that was me. 
"Yes mom ," I said. 
"Just wanted to know if that was you ," She said. 
"Okay ," I said and I went up to my room .
I did my homework and took a bath.
I didn't come back downstairs until my mother yelled "Dinner is ready ".
