Spark

**Beth**

I walked back to the boat and to the room and changed my outfit . While I was taking a shower , Alex and Anna came back .
"Tell me ," Anna said .
"There is nothing bothering me so can you and Beth stop assuming there is ," Alex said .
Then I heard them kiss and Anna said ," I know what it is but you don't want to admit it ," Anna said .

"What do you think is bothering ," Alex said as I heard his voice much closer to the door .
"I know what it is . You have to figure it out yourself ".
"Anna , nothing is wrong ," Alex said .
"If you say so ," Anna said and then I  came out of the bathroom .
"Beth , I didn't know you were here ," Alex said .

"Sorry ," I said as I walked out of the room .
I went to Lia'a room and took a nap there .
When I woke up , Alex was beside me .
I fell off the bed because it scared me .
He just laughed .
"Ugh , why are you here ," I said .
"It's dinner time ," Alex said .
I got up and put on my shoes and went with Alex to dinner .

When we got there , I said ," Hi mom ".
"No hello to your father ," My dad said .
"Dad ," I said as I got up and hugged him .
"Hi pumpkin . I missed you ," My dad said .
"I missed you too ," I said as I went back to my seat .

"How is the cruise so far ? Has it been fun ?" My dad asked .
"Yeah ," I said not so confidently and happy .
And Alex said the same thing I did and in the same not so confident and unhappy tone .
We ate out food and then I went to Lia's room .
When I got there , Lia was at her door with some guy .

"Hey Beth , I would like you to meet Tony , ". Lia said .
"Nice to meet you ," I said as I shook his hand .
"Nice to meet you too ," Tony said .
"Tony and I are going to hang out so expect me to be back late ," Lia said.
"Okay , have fun ," I said as I went into her room .
I jumped into her bed and fell asleep .

**The Next Day **

When I woke up , Alex was in the room watching me .
"Morning ," I said as I sat in bed .
"Morning ," Alex said .
He came and sat on the bed . He said ," Can we please tell each other what's bothering them " .
"Alex ," I said as I wanted to get off the bed but he grabbed my hand for me to stay and I felt a spark .

We both pulled away at the same time .
I sat down and touched my hand where I felt the spark.
"Please ," Alex said .
I thought about it and said ," No ," and got up and went to the bathroom .
I slid down the door and heard my heartbeat beating faster than it should but soon , it calmed down.

I can't tell Alex what is bothering me . I can't tell him that I like him .
I just can't. It will ruin our friendship and his relationship to Anna .
What am I going to tell Jake .
All of those thoughts ran through my brain as I took a shower .
When I was done , I came out and Alex was still there.

"You missed breakfast and also your dad so your dad and you are going to have breakfast together ," He said as he walked to the door .
"Think about it ," Alex said as he left .

*Alex*

Today is Anna's last day with me on the cruise and we decided to go to the pool area and swim .
We took a break and laid on the pool chairs .
"Have you and Beth talked about your problems ?" Anna asked .
"No ," I said.
"I'm breaking up with you ," Anna said out of the blue .

"What ! " I said shocked as she said that as I sat up in the chair .

"I'm breaking up with you ," Anna said again .
"Why ?" I asked .
"Because of you and Beth ," Anna said .
"What about Beth and I . Not is going on between us. She doesn't want to talk to me ," I said .
"I-
"What ?" I said .
"You and Beth should come meet me at the butterfly garden  ," Anna said .
"Anna -
"Just do it ," Anna said and left me .

**Beth**

I was in Lia's room watching tv when someone knocked on the door .
I got up and walked to the door and saw that it was Alex. 
"What do you want Alex ?" I asked as I went back to the bed and continued watching tv.
He cane in and turned off the tv .
"What was that for ?" I asked .

"Anna said that I should bring you along with us to the butterfly garden ," Alex said .
"I don't feel like being a third-wheel today ," I said as I was about to take the remote and turn the tv back on but he got to it before I could .
"It's not a date ," He said .
"Then what does she need us there for ?" I asked .
"I don't know . Wanna come and find out ?" He asked .

"That sounded like I had no choice ," I said as I got off the bed. 
"It did ," He said as we went out of Lia's room .
