Percy pov
The tower started to shake.
"Jarvis what is going on?" Tony asks.
There was no answer so I guess Jarvis is down.
I look at Ellie and she nods.
We get up and run to the stairs.
The others follow us.
We run down alote of flights of stairs. By the time we get down there everyone is out of breath except Steve, Thor, Ellie, and I.
The others look at us in amazement.
It's a demigod thing. When you are fighting and running all your life you want alote of stamina.
Ellie is right with the explanation.
"How long do you usually live for."
Again Ellie answers.
We don't live for long. Most don't make it to 18. Monsters kill most of us off before then. Percy and I are a couple of the oldest.
I nod my head in agreement.
The others look shocked but I wave them off.
Now that everyone has caught their breath we go out to see destruction.
In the middle of it is Tarturus.
I let out a low pitched growl. This is what Ellie was trying to warn us of.
I look at Ellie and she is looking at something else.
I look in the direction that she is looking.
Thalia and Nico are coming up behind Tarturus.
I shift my gaze back to Tarturus just in time to see him lunge at Ellie.
I try to warn her but before I could do so Nico jumped in front of her.
Nico got stabed in the stomach. Ellie turns around just in time to see this.
Thalia screams in anger.
Ellie sees Nico fall to the floor.
All three of us run to him.
Nico is on the floor blood spilling out.
I neel next to him
"No Nico you can't die." I say.
"You need to... let me. I cheated... death too many times already. I am supposed... to be 86. Tell Will... that I am... Sorry." He says as the light fades from his eyes.
I feel tears sliding down my face. I didn't even try to stop it.
I am useless. I can't even save the people I care about.
I wipe the tears off of my face and stand up.
I look at Tarturus with hate and fury.
Then I look at Ellie and I shrink down.
Here comes the wrath of a downright murderous demigod.
