Life out there
was grey and lifeless underneath the angry sky
it dazzles
like ash spread out for miles.
It blinds you
Gone were the bright specks,
to the things that are important.
children playing happily along the shore.
it devours
Thunder and great waves
relationships and plans,
sea now dark, turbulent
It's meant to do that,
lonely.
Because for one person to have seen all that,
They stood silent
to taste the glory and then go back,
cold, lifeless
it will tear you apart.
drifting
an endless nightmare
yearning
for eternity.
dead.

Yup. I'm a dick. A massive dick. This truly is the end of the book.
I know that I've left you all hanging, only to give you this, and I promise it's not on purpose (mostly), but I think that with all the trouble I've been having with getting these chapters out, this just needs to end. I know, what a cliffhanger. The implications. Don't worry, I will be continuing this in another book, but I think I just need to end this one, so I can stop it hanging over my head (also, so I can comfortably go back and make edits and changes that I want to, now that I'm a better author).
I don't know when I'll start the other book, but bonus points to whoever can tell me the meaning and/or origin of the itahliced writing. Seems mighty familiar, no?
