Lured by the Alpha

11: Friends

Zander's POV

I felt awful saying all of those things to Tala, but deep down I knew that it would be the only way to make her stay away from my pack and return to hers. When the messenger came and told us the news, I was both angry and happy. Angry because I wish he had told us earlier and we would still be fine and, happy because that means I might be able to repair our relationship. 

As I leave the room I hear soft sobs and walk away to sort out my head. I know Tala needs an Alpha/ husband, and that she needs to chose one in about 2 months. I just wish I could be her Alpha but I already have my own pack, this is one of those moments when you wish you have a best buddy.

I quickly walk to my beta's room and knock, hearing a faint 'come in' I open the door revealing Dexter reading. "Hey what's up?" he greets me 

"Oh nothing, except that I just broke up with Tala and now she has to stay with us for who knows how long!" I huff angry at myself

"Whoa calm down mate, it'll turn out right in the end, just go with the flow" he tries to comfort me

"Hey can you come for a run with me tomorrow, after breakfast?" I ask

"Sure thing, but what are you going to do with Tala?" he says

"I'm gonna keep her safe" I reply

"Safe from what?" he asks confused

"Safe from a pack of rouges who are after her, probably since she will be the next Luna of one of the best packs around" I say drifting off into thought

"Oh really, so is she sleeping in your room" he says winking

"Yes, but she's not happy about it" I sigh

"She'll come around just use that charm of yours" he smirks

"Okay thanks, I'll leave you to it then" I thank him

Tala's POV

I sit on the ground sobbing quietly when I hear the door creak open, revealing Delta staring at me with concerned eyes.I wipe my tears and motion to her to sit on the bed, as I get up. She walks over to me and hands me a tissue, once I've calmed down she whispers "What happened?" 

"I-I don't know, one minute Zander and I were a c-couple and the next we weren't" I sniffle

"Can you tell me what happened, like in some form of detail" Delta asks me softly

"Well I came in to his room and wanted to talk about me leaving, when I was telling him my worries he was saying that he knew I was going back and that our relationship was never going to work. So then I asked him if was was giving up on us  and he said yes, then we broke it off" I say

"Well I think he shouldn't have given up so easily or lead you on, but I guess he was protecting himself" Delta explains

"Yeah I guess" I say unsure

"Anyway I thought you would have left by now" she questions me

"Well some rouges want to capture me so my dad made me stay here for my safety, and now Zander is being mean and making me sleep in his bed" I fume

"Aww that means he wants to protect you" she gushes

"Ah yeah okay, thanks for checking in on me" I smile

"Anyway how's Lachy?" I ask suggestively

"Oh he's great" she sighs

"Excuse me but dinner is ready" Zander appears at the door

"Thanks for telling us" I mumble and stand

Dinner was great, but as I wave goodbye to Delta I remember I have to sleep with the Alpha. I stomp up to the room and open the door to reveal a half naked Alpha, I can't help but blush and he smirks at me, to that I'm annoyed and to tease him I undress (Don't worry only to her undergarments) in front of him and he stares at my body with regret filled eyes but I ignore him and saunter to the bathroom. 

The hot water soothes my body and I quickly jump out and dry myself off, I decide to tease the Alpha some more  and walk out in my towel I grab my clothes and slowly pull them on. When I turn to get into bed I am taken aback about how much lust and regret is in his eyes.  

I slip into bed when I hear a low seductive whisper in my ear "If you do that again I might just have to punish you" and from the tone of his voice and lust in his eyes earlier I know he's not joking. I gulp and reply softly "Okay Alpha".
