12: Running

Guys it was my Twin's and my birthday yesterday. Yay!

Yes I have a twin.....

Zander's POV

"Hurry up Zander" Dexter complains

"I know I'm coming" I say still half asleep

"So where are we going for our run?" Dexter asks once I open the door

"We can just have a short run around the lake" I inform

"I'm gonna tell Delta" Dexter says

"Okay" I reply

As Dexter runs off to find his sister I bump into Lachy. "Hey Alpha I heard you are going for a run, can I join you?" he asks hopefully

"Yeah sure" I agree

"Hey bros, I told Delta and she told us to be back in an hour" he greets us

"Okay good, let's go" I say

We head out, and start running. We decided that we'd run in our human form, since most of the time we run in our wolf form. We run for about 3 km (1.8 miles) and stop at Lake Eclipse, I suddenly feel like having a swim and jump straight in. A few seconds later I feel the water rippling and know the boys have jumped in as well. I get out of the water and do a back flip in, cheers erupt from my mates ( Yes I made friends) I bow dramatically.

"Thank you thank you" I smile

After swimming around for a few more minute we decide to dry off, we get out and shake off the excess water then I check my watch and realise we've got 20 minutes to get back.As I stand up I get a feeling that there's someone watching us. I turn and catch a glimpse of brown hair, I mind link to Dexter and Lachy someone's watching us, be alert. We start walking away and out  jumps someone with a mask on, he goes to punch me in the face but Lachy grabs his arm and twists it behind his back.

"Ow ow, let go" he growls

"No" Lachy shouts and pins him to the ground

Another 2 people jump out along with another person behind them, 3 against 4 seems fair enough. I grab one by the neck and throw him to the ground, someone jumps on my back and I pick him and the other guy up then I bang their head together easily knocking them out. I smile satisfied, I look around and Lachy has got to 2 people as well and Dexter has got 3, where did they come from. I run to help Dexter when I get a punch in the face, I get up and punch the person back it continues like this until I knee his gut then punch him square in the face knocking him out.

Lachy and Dexter come up behind me and we realise Delta will be worried sick so we grab the 7 men and drag them along with us. I find a long thick vine and we wrap it around the men, I don't recognise any of them. We arrive at the house in 30 minutes as we had to walk the whole way. We are met with a grumpy Delta and Tala.

"Where were you guys?" Delta asks angrily

"We ran into some trouble" Lachy explains pointing to the men 

"Oh my, who are they?" Delta exclaims

"We don't know but when they wake up we'll interrogate them" I say

"Okay so put them in the dungeon then we can have lunch" Delta commands

"Yes boss" Dexter and Lachy say in unison

"Are you okay?" Tala asks softly

"Um yeah" I say surprised about how quiet Tala is

"Oh that's good" she smiles slightly

"Okay we put them away, time for lunch I'm starving" Dexter calls
