Zander's POV
"Tell me why you were following us" I growl out
"N-No" one of the men stutter
"I'll give you three seconds, or you're going to live down here for the rest of your miserable lives with a healthy beating" I snap, knowing it's not right
"One, two, thr-" I'm cut off
"Zander you know that's not right" Tala says frowning
"Yes I know" I say once we're out of earshot
"So why are you doing it?" she asks
"Because that won't answer me" I reply
"Let me try" she says walking off
"Hey tell me why you were following them, and you might just get a reward" she winks at them suggestively, I grow softly not wanting anyone to touch her other than me, but she's not mine.
"Okay beauty" one of the younger men smile at her
"Well our alpha told us to capture the alpha of the moon pack, as he knew the next luna of the star pack" he smiles greedily at Tala
Tala steps back slowly coming towards me, "I have changed my mind, I'm not touching anyone" she whispers
"That's okay, I'll lock them up then we can go and relax maybe" I suggest
"Where did she go, she promised me things" the guy whines
"She promised you nothing, she said might" I snap
"Thanks, at least my techniques worked" she grins
"Yeah thanks for your help" I say
"Tala I know you're not happy with me, but maybe we could be friends instead" I ask
"Your right I'm not happy with you, but we can be on a friends basis" she smirks
"What are you doing now?" I ask curious
"Oh I was gonna read in our room" she turns around surprised I asked her
"What are you reading, maybe I've read the book before" I ask
"I'm reading a book that the humans love, you probably haven't read it since werewolves don't read this kind of book" she says
"What is the book?" I still question
"Umm.... well.. it's called harry potter and the chamber of secrets, it's a series" she says embarrassed
"Your right I haven't read it, but maybe I could read it after you" I smile reassuringly
"Okay cool but I reading the second book, so you can read the first book" she gestures for me to follow her
We sit in the room for an hour or so reading, I'm so engrossed in the book I don't realise that someone's knocking on the door until they tap me on the shoulder. I turn around to find a worried looking messenger, "What's wrong?" I ask
"The pack that wants Tala is here" he pants out
"Have you got the guards, warriors and the beta ready?" I ask
"Yes sir, I've also sent out a message to the rest of the packing informing them to be ready" he informs
"Great job seb" I gesture for him to leave
"Should I leave so you guys are safe" Tala asks nervously
"You running off and getting killed would do nothing except reek havoc in your pack" I say
"I guess your right, I should fight instead" she say determined
"But you could easily get killed" I try to reason
"Could not positive, anyway I'm not letting your pack die while I'm in here like a damsel in distress they're like family" she looks me straight in the eyes, letting me know I won't be changing her mind
"Fine" I sight dejectedly
We quickly transform and walk out to meet the pack, wanting to kill Tala.
