"Take a deep breath."

"Not helping you know." I got up walking back and forth.

"Sit down." Howie grabbed my hand and sat me next to him giving me a pat on my shoulder.

"What Brian told me just got me thinking."

"Well, what do you really feel?"

"Right now I'm not sure." I sighed.

"Do you think me and Nick won't last? Do you think we're not good for each other?" I waited for his response. This is so frustrating to me.

"I can't answer that. But if your heart says it was the right choice then maybe it was meant to be?"

Then my heart doesn't know what it wants. In the moment I was happy and I feel safe around Nick so I had no hesitation saying yes to him.

"You guys want to go eat breakfast at iHop?" Aj barged in the room like if the building was on fire.

"I'm in." The three of us headed downstairs, running.

"Is a horse race competition happening right now?" Kevin laughed at us.

"Nope but I'm ready for my breakfast." I smiled.

"I'm starving." Brian walked in putting his jacket on.

"Where's Nick?" I asked. Everyone looked at each other like they do in the horror movies. "He went out." Brian said.

I nodded at him awkwardly remembering about last night.

"Let's go." Howie playfully demanded us.

Soon enough we were already there.

"Why is there so many people?" I whined. I like getting a table where it's lonely. I just don't like when people look at me eat, it's so awkward.

"These pancakes are so good." Aj rubbed his belly. "I couldn't agree more." Howie did the same as Aj.

I laughed. "You two are like little kids that haven't ate in years."

"Mary remember this?" I looked at Brian who had two bananas on his eyes. I laughed.

When we were younger we would always play around with our food. We used to put fruit on us pretending it was our eyes, mouth or teeth. Back when everything was easy.

"Nick definitely missed out on this." Kevin shook his head like an upset dad. "We can take some for him." I suggested.

"It'll be afternoon when we get back home." Brian poked me with his fork. "Keep your dirty fork away from me mister." I threw him a strawberry.

"You guys are going to get us kicked out and I haven't finished." Howie took a big bite of his pancakes.

"Someone was hungry." I playfully told him giving him a grin.

"Please tell me that everyone is done now." Kevin said anxious. We were basically here for two hours.

"Yes dad we're all done." I made a baby voice. Everyone laughed.

"Ok children let's go." Kevin guided us outside like we were his kids.

"Where are going now?" I asked.

"Laser tag." Brian said like a happy kid that just got their first pet.

The last time we went to laser tag was when we were in middle school. And it didn't go so well...
