Chapter 22

Raven's POV:

"Raaaaveeeeen! Oh come on!" Jamie whined giving me a frustrated look.

"Jamie no, I am not wearing the skirt! Look how short it is!" I said taking the denim skirt, and putting against my waist demonstrating how short it would look if I put it on.

Right now, Jamie and I were arguing about the costume's we were going to wear at the dance try-outs this Friday. You'd think that we would wear something comfortable and easy to move in, well you think wrong. Mimi and Jamie have this idea that if we wear a sexy outfit it'll help us with our dance, hence the mini skirt. And I, being the tomboy I am, I didn't agree on the mini skirt, and a few other things like the small tank top that could hardly cover your belly, and the really unnecessary accessories.

Jamie just scowled, "Oh you know what I give up!" she yelled stomping out of my room. I couldn't help but chuckle and laugh, that girl was so melodramatic!

It's been about three weeks since I saved Gabe's sister from those shitty experiments. And since then my life just returned back to normal. Me waking up, going to the gym with Jamie and dance practice, since it was summer break school wouldn't start until a few months which was good. I also found out that my dad was sent here to try to help kill those shitty experiments, so we had another helping hand, but to be honest he couldn't really help but all. Even though he was son of a person that had the chemical gene, his senses weren't that sharp.

His hearing and eyesight were the same as a normal human's while mine was far beyond it, but my dad did get the strength of the gene, which was good, but not helpful at all since he wasn't fast enough. Nevertheless, he agreed that he would go back to the base, and tell them that things were fine this side. Since I killed about three a few weeks ago there was only about 3or 2 left, they weren't sure

I took the skirt and stuffed it into the plastic bag where the rest of the outfit was. I took the bag and threw it into my closet. I looked at my watch and saw that it was about three in the afternoon.

Well I could always read a little, I thought to myself. It's been a while since I've read a book plus I had dance practice and did my daily activities in the gym, this morning.

I walked up to open one of my drawers, and started going through a few books. I decided to go with Vampire Academy, Blood Promise. Yes, I like vampire books, and no I don't believe in them nor am I a fan of twilight. Trust me Vampire Academy is much better.(A/N: I totally love both series =)... and I've read them TWICE! LOL... So yes, I'm a Twi and Vamp-Academy freak :) )

I lay on my bed and started reading the book, I've read all three books and this is the forth.

I spent about most of my afternoon in my room reading the book, that's how interesting it is. I was reading the part where Rose was trying to run from Demerit, who turned into a Strigio ( a bad vampire), and was now running after her, trying to kill her. I was so into that part, anxious and curios as to how she was going to get out of that situation since she was weak and tired, that I didn't even notice that someone had just came into my room.

I suddenly felt a warmth breath against my neck, I couldn't help but gasp and jump up in surprise. I heard someone from next to me chuckle... and it was none other than Alex.

"What the HELL!" I yelled shoving him away from me, he just chuckled.

"Oh Raven! You should have seen your face!"

I scowled and hit his forearm with the book, hard, which made him wince and rub the spoke. I thank Richelle Mead for making these books thick!

"Don't do that again!" I said setting back and opening the book to the page, I was busy reading. I felt him move closer, resting his chine on my shoulder, near the crooked of my neck.
