"Why are you even here? " I asked her not wanting to sound rude as I walk in the hallways with her and some guards following us

"I'll be singing for the event, shouldn't I ask you the same thing? I mean, I know Kendall's attending but what the hell are you doing out there. You look like a mess right now" she says taking a glimpse of me "I mean like a beautiful mess" she says blushing almost whispering those words making me chuckle

"Long story" I said as we started entering this huge door

"Well I don't listen much at the conference so you can tell me instead" she says and seeing lots of people inside I suddenly felt embarrassed but Ariana held my hand passing by the people who's looking at us. Before sitting down I saw Kendall next to Rakim and before I even pull my sight away from her I saw her head turn to look at us but Ariana pulled me down and we're next to some people I don't know.

"Hey this is Katherine, Katherine these people right here are some of the people working under the record label" she says smiling at me and I don't know why but that's just nice of her to introduce me to these people when she doesn't really have to.

Kendall is probably 3 rows at our back and I can literally feel her stare on the back of my head but I kept ignoring it.

"How long have you been waiting outside? " she asks putting her bag on her lap as she started rummaging through it

"Uh.. not long " I said lying about it

"I told you to tell me not lie to me" she says looking up at me with serious face on so I sighed

"1 hour and 15 minutes, I mean that's not a big deal" I said making her roll her eyes

"You wouldn't look like this if it's not a big deal" she says pulling out some face wipes as she gave me a scrunchy to tie up my hair which I did

"I can do it" I said but she pulled her hand away from me

"No, put your hands down and let me " she says so I just stayed like that while she started wiping my face

"So what happened? " she asks while focusing on my face and I can literally feel the side of my face burning and I don't even want to look at her cause I'm afraid that I'll die under her glare. I don't want to tell Ariana about it but then she deserves the truth for saving me back there

"Well, she picked me up earlier to take me here since y'all have a plus one. We arrived a couple of hours later and we head at the entrance" I said pausing while she grab a loose powder to put it on my face which I don't mind.

"But then rakim " I said trying not to pronounce his name too obvious since I don't want them to know that we're talking about them. "He showed up and I think from their talk. She didn't seem to know that he will show up cause I think he turn the invite down. He pulled her inside without letting her explain and just like that they left. I waited for a reply or for her to ring me but then I haven't received anything" I said. She finished putting stuff on my face which is not too much

"If I knew that you weren't doing anything today then I would've called you. I hate seeing you being ditched when I'm wanting most of your time" she says lowly with all seriousness in her voice

"Thank you Ariana, I really appreciate your help back there" I said as she faced the front and so did I

"I would ditch anyone who's with me if it means you're coming with me" she says placing her head on my shoulder as she held my hand and stayed like that for the whole conference.

It probably lasted 2 hours which supposedly 3 hours but since we're late we didn't have to stay too long. Once it's all done Ariana stood up and started talking to the people beside her when I felt a hand turn me back around seeing a very furious Kendall infront of me

"Why did you go in? " she asks and I knew she was shocked with her words either

"You should've not take me here if you didn't want to" I said and seeing Rakim walking closer to us

"Look, it's not what I wanted to say" she says pausing for a bit "I didn't know that he'll be showing up cause he turned down the invitation " she says

"Tell me Kendall, are you dating? " I asked getting straight to the point since there's no reason to keep pulling that question away

"Look, I'll explain-"

"It's just a yes or no question Kendall "

"Yes but-" she tried explaining but Rakim made it beside her as he put his arm around Kendall looking at me sternly

"That's the only answer I needed to hear" not the answer I wanted to hear

"Kath" I heard Ariana says as she hook her arm on mine. She look at Kendall and Rakim first

"Sorry but we need to go. Lunch? "She asked looking at me. I put my gaze away from Kendall as I nod at Ariana and walks out of there
