Jessica was jolted awake by the car stopping. She sat up and looked outside. Their car was a few feet away from the Vamps lair. It looked to be an old barn.

"Stay in the car." Dean told Jessica. Him and Sam got out.

Jessica rolled her eyes and looked out the window. A vamp arrived at the barn and parked his car. He got out and entered into the building.

Jessica looked towards the Winchester's. John was talking to his sons. Explaining their plan, or explaining something else. It was hard for Jessica to lip read.

As she watched John, she couldn't help but think back to all those years he helped her. Those two boys had no idea how much of a father John was to Jessica.

"Shhh, shhhh, it's alright." Jessica held A crying Charlie. It was cold. Windy. And to top it all off, it was raining.

Jessica had no idea where to go. She was hiding in a dark alley. It smelled horrible, but that was where Jessica thought she would be safe.

Charlie cried louder and louder. Jessica was now crying. She was only ten years old. No family to go to, no friends. Rachel was the one that took Jessica into her home. She was Jessica's friend, and now she's gone forever.

Jessica began to rock Charlie in her arms. Her tears rolled down her cheeks and down her chin.

"Please calm down, Charlie." Jessica pleaded. He still continued to cry.

"Hello?" A voice echoed down the alley.

Jessica looked towards the source and quickly backed herself against the wall. She saw the shadow of a man standing at the end of the alley. His car was parked on the other side of the street.

"Is anyone there?" The man asked.

Charlie continued to cry. Jessica was worried. What if this man was going to come and hurt her? What if he was going to hurt them both?

"Charlie, please!" Jessica whispered.

"Who's down there?" The man asked a little more forcefully.

Jessica let a sob escape her mouth. She regretted that.

The man began to walk towards her. His strides were long. His pace was fast. The sound of his boots echoed throughout the alley.

"P-please mister, I-I don't want any trouble." Jessica's back was pressed firmly against the wall. The man was now a few feet away from her. Once he reached Jessica, His face came into the dim light.

Jessica seemed to calm down. She sensed he wasn't going to do her any harm. Yet, her heart still raced.

"What's you're name?" The man asked.

"Jessica." She replied.

"Name's John Winchester." The man gave the girl a warm smile. "What are you doing out here with a baby?"

Jessica looked down at the ground and kicked a small pebble away from her. New tears threatened to spill from her eyes.

"I came home and heard a scream come from upstairs." Jessica wiped her eyes. "I looked to see what it was and I couldn't find my friend Rachel, but Charlie was in his crib. There was blood dripping down his chin. Then I felt something wet hit my forehead and I looked up..." Jessica tried to calm herself down. But it felt impossible. "I looked up and saw that she was stuck to the ceiling, her stomach was cut open." Jessica let the tears fall down her face this time. "Flames came out of nowhere and that's when I grabbed Charlie and ran out of the house."

John wanted to ask this girl many questions, but he knew it wouldn't be right too. He wanted to know where Azazel was. But he couldn't force this girl to answer anymore questions.

"Do you have any family members that could take you in?" John asked. Jessica shook her head. She had no one. She didn't even know her own parents. Jessica didn't even know if they were alive or not.

John thought about taking her with him. She couldn't tell the police what she saw, they'd say she was crazy and send her to a mental facility for kids.

"Would you like to come with me?" John asked. Jessica looked up at him.

"Can I?"

John smiled. "Of course you can." He held out his hand for her to take. Jessica wrapped her small fingers around Johns hand. He led Jessica to his car and opened the door for her. John got into his own seat and started the car. Then, he took off down the road.

John kept taking glances in the rear view mirror to see how Jessica was doing. She was fast asleep, so was Charlie.

What was he going to do now? How was he supposed to take care of her and his two sons?

John took another look in the back and sighed. He could do this. He'd just have to make more trips.

"Jess?" Dean waved his hand in front of her face. She was staring into space. "Hello? Yoo-hoo!" Dean snapped his fingers and Jessica flinched.

"What?" Jessica looked up at Dean.

"We're going in, come on."

Jessica opened her door and got out, shutting the door behind her. She went towards the back of the Impala and grabbed a machete. It felt natural in her hand.

"Try not to get killed princess." Dean said as he walked passed Jessica.

"Oh I won't," Jessica said. "This isn't my first rodeo."

Dean thought about her words. How many hunts had she been on? As he thought more about it, she seemed to be as well trained as them.

"Dean," John called. "Let's go, come on."

Dean nodded his head and caught up to his father. He looked back and saw Sam talking to Jessica. Dean knew she was hiding something, but he didn't know what his father was.
