I slowly opened my eyes. Ah, a new day and probably a new murder. I stretch and get out of my bed. I go to the bathroom, take a shower, dry my hair, brush my teeth and get dressed in my black skinny jeans and green shirt. I brush my long blond hair and put some lip gloss on. Then I put my black boots on and get out of my apartment. I lock the door and get in my black van. Yes, I love black. On my way to my office, I get a call from Seeley and obviously, there's a new case. And apparently, there's a new squint, as Seeley and I call them. So I'm gonna meet a new nerd today, hmm. If Brennan knew I call them nerds, she'd correct me, but that's what I love about my best friend. Yep, Brennan and Angela are my best friends and they're awesome. Angela and Jack (Hodgins) make a cute couple and Brennan and Seeley would make the perfect couple but it seems as if they're the only ones that don't know it. The only person that I can't find a match for is me. The guys I have dated were either stupid, sexist or couldn't stand my hours. But hey, my job comes with the package so if they didn't like it, adios! And when I finally broke up with them, Seeley would threaten to beat them up and I had to explain that I broke up with them. My phones starts buzzing and I look at it to see that Seeley's calling me again. I pick it up and ask:
"What happened now?"
"Well they already brought the remains to the lab, so you can just meet us there." Seeley says.
"Uh. Okay I'll be there in 20." I say.
"Oh and be nice to the new squint." Seeley says and I can hear Brennan in the background saying to stop calling them that.
"When am I ever not nice?" I ask innocently.
"Kristen..." Seeley says warningly.
"Okay okay. Sheesh, I'll be nice. See yah." I say and hang up. Well then, time to meet a new squint. I don't get Seeley's reaction. I've never been mean to anyone at the lab...unless they deserved it.

A/N: Just warning you that each chapter is pretty short. Only 200-500 words each. I wrote this story a long time ago and just did a little editing. While editing, I realized how short it was. Hopefully I'll find the time to make each chapter longer, with more details. Anyways...enjoy!
