That's what you were
you were there
a star from the sky that traveled
down slowly, then vanished.Out of plain sight
and took the light
away and succumbing
through the darkness to its upbringing.There were other stars
shining brightly from afar
but you were the brightest
that one cannot look upon and protest.So many stars during the night sky
but one lie
you were the only beautiful one
that is why I chose you and thought I had won.I was wrong
to choose you for how long
and to stay with you so far
I chose the wrong star.-A-
