A butterfly
soaring high in the sky
a teenage girl
admiring it as its wings curl.

Flying around the garden
looking for its darling
she's still in awe
but then it starts to fall.

She ran like a blinding light
catching it with a fright
its other wing was torn in half
as it tries to fly back.

It failed
she panicked
not letting go
she brought it to her home.

She tried to bandage the wing
hoping it would work its thing
she grabbed an empty jar
putting the butterfly in slowly not leaving it ajar.

It's still sitting there
with its broken part bare
as she stares at it
with sadness.

She promised herself
to take care of it while it's at rest
she goes to bed
not knowing what's about to happen.

...

She's been taking care of it for seven months
her having to stare at it a lot
and been admiring it for a bit
but then she fell in love with it.

She knows she couldn't
she knows she shouldn't
the wing is all healed now
while it flaps its wings back and forth.

Still in the jar
her having a mental war
she sighs defeatedly
she wasn't ready.

But she had to
had to do what's right and good
she went outside
to the place where she saw it fly.

For the very first time
she looked at it one last time
then brought it closer
holding it tighter.

She slides the lid easily
then it ascends freely
up in the air
leaving her in despair.

leaving her crying
leaving her kneeling
down with a broken heart
while falling apart.

She looked up
still seeing the butterfly flying up
with one last sob
she said,

"I had to let you go."

This was all from a dream, not entirely from the dream that I had earlier but this is just my interpretation of it. It's like a part two of "last". I love you guys.
