Ever looked at something
that made you fascinated
even though it's just a simple thing
and make you look less sophisticated?
Wanna know what it was?
an eraser
and you may ask,
Why an eraser?
You see,
when you stare at something
you overanalyze and you can't help but agree
on what your mind thought over that simple thing.
What is its purpose?
Is it useful?
Is it gracious?
Is it needful?
Useful for some or even every person
graciously erasing our mistakes
and a needful for students at lessons
exams, tests, and notes you take.
What everyone sees in a rubber?
it's mostly rectangular like
with different colors
But with the same purpose alike.
Wanna know what I thought of?
I think erasers are like our parents
they make up for our mistakes and thereof
they erase it for us, children.
When you do something wrong
they encourage you that you can do better
and put you right in a place where you belong
in their comforting hearts' shelter.
When you think you're complicated
They'd always be there to understand
In whatever heavy weighted
encounters you experienced at any hand.
But remember that erasers tend to shrink
including the times left of our parents
they won't be with us the longer you think
they soon will be in God's presence.
Sometimes we argue
sometimes we fight
sometimes we overdo
and take it out on them all day and all night.
But they will always cherish
and care for us no matter how bad we are
from our short temper and mood swings
to our battles and scars.
It's time for us to do the same
while they're still alive
and all I can say
is to spend time with them for a while.
Or even more
because you'll never know
when you're gonna have to let them go.
