beside the shelf
with the rope
around her throat
For three years
she couldn't handle the tears
all the bullying
and all the hurting
She left a note
leaving a mote
of tears on it
beside her to sit
Saying, I'm sorry
for being ugly
I'm sorry
for not being the girl you want me to be
She was beautiful
really beautiful
but the bullies
never stopped calling her ugly
She had a life ahead
but she died instead
because of them
and their stupid judgments
Her mom, dad
and sister were all she ever had
she was happy
really happy
Now she rests in peace
rest in peace
her beautiful eyes
now sealed shut, leaving her family with cries
