Tseju wasn't looking forward to Friday. The weekend tradition had finally broken because Bayo had to retreat into the cave of Adullam to prepare for his upcoming exams. They barely talked to each other now. They'd gone from talking almost all day to maybe once or twice a day. Tseju wasn't even angry, and that was the shocking part. She actually started driving him away once the call exceeded a certain time. He had gotten worried thinking she was offended, but she'd shaken his fears off by explaining that she wanted him to give his undivided attention to his books.

As a final year student herself, she could very well understand the stress he was under. She too herself needed to focus on finishing her project. The department had already issued a deadline and she had two chapters left, so she took the little break from being a full time girlfriend to focus on her project and to that end, she'd reduced interaction with the outside world to the barest minimum.

So, imagine her surprise that Friday evening when Yemisi and Akande showed up at her doorstep in their pajamas holding four fluffy pillows, two duvets, a hamper basket containing plastic containers of food and drinks and a box of Fresh Dominoes pizza. Since they had no previous sleepover plans, she greeted them with the question "Did Bayo put you up to this?"

To which Yemisi replied, "First of all, I'm older than him so technically i don't answer to him."

And Akande like they had rehearsed the lines before chirped in, "Second of all, there's absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to spend more time with the lady who has captured my brothers heart. You know, get to know her more, threaten to burn her makeup collection and have her banned from all the makeup stores in the world should she break his heart and maybe form a mutually beneficial inlaw alliance. You know... Normal stuff."
