Things are getting better between us ni Jema. We are slowly getting back to the relationship we have before. The day after tomorrow will be their flight back to Manila. Kaya kailangan kong sulitin tong araw na to habang kasama siya.
"Are you sure kinabukasan na talaga kayo uuwi, Ponggay?" Im with Ponggay today. Actually we're with Jema, bonding na rin. We are just waiting for her dahil nag bathroom siya.
"Aba malamang. Besides, hindi ba sinabi sayo ni Jema na magta-tryout siya?" Tryout?
"Tryout? Saang tryout? Wala siyang nabanggit saakin." Sabi ko habang nakakunot yung noo ko.
"Aish. Siya nalang magsasabi sayo. Pero I think next month pa naman yung tryout na yun for volleyball." She'll play volleyball? Woah. Then, I should support her because alam kong that's the first sport na minahal niya and natutunan niya aside from basketball na tinuro ni Tots sakanya.
"Deanna, uhm, does your wedding with Celine... uh.. ano.. matutuloy ba yun?" Honestly, miski nga ako hindi ko alam. Since the day na dumalaw si Jema sa bahay, hindi na siya nagparamdam pa saaming lahat. Papa doesn't even know too. Ang tanging reason lang nung father ni Celine is because she's busy preparing for our wedding.
"I don't know too, Ponggs. I haven't talk to Papa, and Celine's father about that. How I wish hindi nalang matuloy, I can't afford seeing the one I love hurt just because sa kagaguhang ginawa ko." I should've fought for her in the beginning. But I was scared, I guess. Kaya nauwi ang lahat ng yun sa ganito. You're dumb, Deanna. You're dumb.
Ponggay tapped my shoulder and gave me a smile.
"Both of you are a fighter, that's why things that are happening to the both of you now, will be better. Soon, all of these will be in your past, and both of you will not be able to come back." I smiled at her and breathe out heavily.
Minutes after, Jema arrived. Ang tagal mag banyo ah?
"Grabe sis, tumae ka ba?" Tanong sakanya ni Ponggay ng makabalik na siya dito saamin.
"Shut the hell up. Hindi ako katulad mo na tumatae kung saan saan, 'no!" Jema said and rolled her eyes at Ponggay. Umupo na siya sa tabi ko. Actually there's a free chair beside Ponggay but still, she chose to sit beside her girlfriend. Oh well.
"Ay ganun? May pag tabi na pala. Parang nung isang araw hindi ka naging brutal sakin kasi naiinis ka sa pakiki-tungo ni D-" Hindi na natapos ni Ponggay yung sinasabi niya dahil binato siya ni Jema ng tissue paper.
Nag peace sign naman si Ponggay sakanya at nag sign na she zipped her mouth. Hay nako. I leaned close to Jema's ear and whispered..
"What is she talking about? Kanino ka naiinis?" Lumingon siya saakin at pinitik yung ilong ko. What was that for? Aish.
We just talk about random things until we decided na umuwi na. It's almost dinner, and Ate Kianns cooked for us. Sina Ate Bea and Ate Jho, umuwi na kahapon. They said na kailangan daw kasi ni Tita Det si Ate Bei sa company nila. Parang dati ayun yung ginawang reason ni Papa para mapapunta ako dito ah? Hay.
Ponggay brought her Ate Therese's car do she will be the one driving for us. Jema and I are sitting sa likod.
"Aba mga hayop na 'to. Ginawa niyo pa akong driver ah!" Reklamo ni Ponggay at tumingin ng masama saamin.
"Tanga, bagay naman sayo kaya sige na. Sumbong kita sa Ate mo eh hindi ka nga nagpaalam na gagamitin mo car niya." Banat naman ni Jema sabay tawa. See? Kaya wag niyong tapatin si Jema dahil may pambara lagi yan sainyo kala niyo ah.
