A/N : I'm considering adding Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch into a couple future chapters. Depending on how that goes, I might add T'Challa and Falcon soon.

Bucky Barnes // Winter Soldier -

You woke up in a cold sweat, unable to control your breathing. It felt like the walls of your studio apartment were closing in on you. You knew one thing in that moment; that you needed to get out.

In mere minutes you had your coat on and your keys in your hand. You also grabbed your phone and called the first person that came to mind: your boyfriend and best friend, Bucky Barnes.

He answered straight away, sounding groggy. It occurred to you that it was the early hours of the morning and he'd probably been asleep. "Hey, doll, what's up?"

"I woke up and I can't go back to sleep. I'm going out for a bit..."

"Jesus Christ, no! Stay where you are and I'll come and meet you." You could hear muffled swearing and the sound of clothes being pulled on. "You can't just go walking about alone at night - it's dangerous, baby. I'll come and walk with you."

You got into the elevator and pressed the button that sent it down to the lobby. "You don't have to. I'll be fine."

"Don't fight me on this one. I'll see you soon. Love you."

He hung up and you waited for him like he'd asked. You loved the fact that he cared.

Loki Laufeyson -

Horrific images replayed on the insides of your eyelids. Images of gore and ruin; of your dead mother's face and the other lost Valkyrie who had fled after a vicious attack from Hela and the Frost Giants.

You wanted to open your eyes but you couldn't; partially because you couldn't move through fear and partially because you felt like you deserved the pain.

That's when everything stopped. Blue light then nothing. Your eyes shot open to meet the forest-green eyes that you knew so well. Loki. Of course, it had been him that had made the nightmare stop.

In silence, he wrapped his arms around you and cuddled you tightly, refusing to let you go until the sunlight began to stream in through the curtains.

Peter Parker // Spider-man -

You had PTSD from working with SHIELD. You were still the Academy but you had still seen awful things: terrorist attacks, assassinations and cold-blooded murders. You had stared death in the face multiple times until it began to seem normal.

The one thing in the world that got you was Peter. He was your weak point and when he was nearly shot on a mission you'd been allowed to attend, you dove in the way and blocked it with your shoulder. Now, you had not only gained an impressive scar, but a new nightmare to add to the never-ending playlist in your mind.

Peter was the only one who could comfort you. Every night you had a bad dream, he made Vision alert him and would rush to your room to hold you as you cried it out and talked.

Natasha Romanoff // Black Widow -

"Baby..." she giggled, sunglasses on, red curls bouncing out from under her scarf, and one hand out of the car window resting on the roof. Everything was tinted red like a filter had been placed over the world. "I love you so much. Like, mad amounts."

"Same," you giggled back, glancing at her then turning your gaze back to the road. "I truly, honestly love you."

"Then why did you leave me." The words were so cold and abrupt that they jolted you. You weren't in the car anymore; all you could see was Nat's face and the sections of blue sky that framed it.

"What did you say?"

"Why did you leave me? I told you that you should quit - that the relationship only needed one Avenger. You just had to get yourself killed, didn't you?"

You sat bolt upright in bed and threw back the sheets, forgetting where you were for a moment. Natasha had woken up the moment you had and was at your side of the bed in minutes, kneeling down on the floor beside you. "It's okay, baby, it's okay..."

You started to shiver and she took off the hoodie she'd been wearing, draping it over your shoulders and perching in front of you. She ran a hand across your cheek, thumb brushing against your cheekbone before grazing your bottom lip. She took both your hands in hers and smiled weakly. "What's wrong?"

"I...I died and... you were mad at me," you stuttered, stumbling over the words.

"Well, of course, I'd be pretty mad if you died. I don't think I'd be human if I'd simply let you go; I'll never let you go."

The two of you embraced and she pulled you in to kiss you sweetly on the forehead.
