A/N - another request from @erincannon132. also, this wasn't mentioned in the comment, but the reader has the power to take people's pain (think Teen Wolf). thank you for reading :)

It was one of the lesser known facts in the Avengers' Tower that Bucky had seizures. Only two people knew: Steve because Bucky was his best friend, and Bruce because for a majority of the time he was the team's go-to doctor. You, Bucky's girlfriend and a fellow honorary Avenger, on the other hand had no idea. It wasn't that no one wanted you to know; it was just that it had been years since Bucky's escape from Hydra and his last seizure. All three men had just assumed that they were over. A thing of the past.

That was until the night you all decided to watch a movie.

Steve had the team assemble in the Tower's private, built-in movie theatre at 9 pm, telling everyone to come from their various floors with snacks and blankets. Tony then hijacked the plan and told everyone to wear their PJs; a not-so crafty ploy to see Nat in a vest.

Fifteen minutes before the movie was scheduled to start, you and Bucky met up by the elevator on your shared floor of the Tower. He was wearing a grey shirt with a pair of navy joggers, giving you a wry smile as he looked at your nightshirt - one of his old jumpers that he'd given you. "Looks nice. Reminds me of something I used to have."

"Can't be," you teased in reply.

He grinned, pressing the down button and trying to hide his blushing face behind a wall of dark hair. "It's fine - it looks a lot better on you anyway. Everything does."

You gave him a soft smile and nudged him gently in the ribs.

Later in the night, when the movie was about halfway through, you noticed something was off with Bucky.

It all started when he was whispering something in your ear, randomly stopping midway through his sentence. His face went blank and suddenly he was just staring ahead at the screen - glassy eyed - like an android that had just been turned off.

"Steve... Steve -" you leant forwards and down to the row in front, shaking Steve's shoulder until he turned to face you. The moment he saw Bucky, the colour drained from his face as his eyes widened. He looked like he'd seen a ghost.

Bucky's head rolled back as he started to shiver, soon giving way to violent jerky movements as Steve hopped over the back of his recliner to help both of his friends.

"Bruce!" Steve yelled at the top of his lungs. It was odd to see him so panicked. Scary, even.

"JARVIS, turn on the lights and turn off the screen," Tony ordered over the chaos that was ensuing. The AI obeyed instantly and the lights were switched on, flooding the room with intensely bright lighting.

Bruce appeared behind Bucky's chair, flipping a switch that tilted it all the way back and holding the sides of his head to keep him down. Steve started to count down from three and together they both rolled Bucky onto his side, seemingly aware of what to do as you sat on the floor nearby, sobbing and shivering.

As soon as Bucky stopped seizing, Bruce started to examine him - monitoring his pulse and breathing whilst talking in hushed tones to Tony and Nat.

Steve backed away from his friend's unconscious body and sighed, his head in his hands until he saw the state you were in. Instinctively, he rushed to your side and pulled you into his chest, gently running his hands through your hair and brushing it away from your wet face. "I'm so sorry, (Y/N). You were never meant to see that."
