The Lupine and the Fae have disliked each other for as long as any race can remember. Luckily, they live on opposite sides of Vivelle. No one really knows why they despise each other so. They had multiple battles before Visara came created peace. Even after, the two races were not on speaking terms. Some say, that the Fae hate how animalistic the Lupine are. That they believe that creatures of such revolting barbarity do not have the right to exist. That the Fae made it their mission to cleanse Vivelle of their revolting presence. The Lupine looked down upon the arrogance and perfection the Fae always sought. Thinking that the vein species did not deserve a place in this world either because they did not respect its beauty other than their own creation.

Fallon looks through her usual spot, watching the council meeting take place. She huffs in annoyance when her repulsive grandfather walks in and takes a seat next to her father. She sees how the rest of the council straighten at his arrival. She also notices the way their hands or legs twitch nervously.

"Good Morning," Sebastian Baylon begins. Come on, father. You're the king here. Matthias frowns and looks at his father with a glare.

"Good Morning, father," Matthias says and sits up straighter. "I do not remember giving you an invite to these meetings," he says, his voice sounding strangely calm.

"No, you did not," Sebastian replies.

"I did," Leander Drake says and stands up. "You have yet to find Illyana and bring her back. I thought..." Matthias explodes, standing up so fast that his chair goes flying back.

"You thought that you would go behind my back?" he shouts.

"I am doing what's best for Vivelle," Councilman Drake snarls.

"No, you are doing what is best for yourself and again proving to me that you cannot be trusted!"

"Calm down, son. You are making a fool of yourself," Sebastian scoffs. The King stares at his father.

"This is a private meeting," he growls. "Get. Out." Fallon grins as Sebastian stands. "I didn't invite you here to rule for me. I invited you here to give me advice when it is asked for." Sebastian takes a deep breath and bows his head, leaving the room in awkward silence. Matthias glares at Councilman Drake. "After all these years," he says. "When you think you've lost your control over me, you go crawling back to my father like the pathetic moron you are," he growls. "You are testing my patience, Leander," he says as he sits back down. "I am the King. Not my father. Remember, I can always change my mind on my choice for the King Chosen," he warns and Leander bows his head.

"I am sorry, your majesty," he says. Fallon smiles, feeling oddly proud of her father.

"Now, let's begin. What news of the Lord of the Future Fae's arrival?" he asks.

"He will be arriving in the city today," a councilman replies. My father nods his head and sighs.

"He's angry?" he asks.

"Extremely. After the Knights killed his daughter at the mine she was governing... Well, let's just say he is putting a lot of blame onto you for not giving her the resources to stay protected." Matthias runs a hand through his hair.

"We'll sort something out," he replies.

"What news of your Red Guard and the Centaur trackers?" he asks Councilman Drake.

"Sir Jago is out there now working with the centaurs to try and pick up a trail of the princess. However, it seems to have gone cold. They picked up traces around the Westland Woods of the centaurs. It would seem the Princess was trying to find the centaurs to make an alliance," he chuckles. Matthias nods his head and leans back in his chair. "What about the mines?" he asks.
