🌸We're Fine🌸

If you haven't watched the final episode of the Boruto Time Travel Arc yet, (Boruto Naruto Next Generations ep 136), I recommend you go watch it.

Anyway, if you HAVE seen (or haven't seen it and don't mind me talking about it here), I know some people are thoroughly disappointed. I'm thoroughly satisfied with that ending and even though we still didn't have any "public displays of affection" between you-know-who, I still believe there WAS some display of affection. Maybe not publicly to the rest of the characters, but in private for us viewers to see.

I noticed a few things.

FIRSTLY.

What Sasuke told Naruto.

This means a LOT to me

This means a LOT to me.

Sasuke clearly cares about and even MISSES his family after going back the past and seeing how much he's missed being away. Maybe not missing just his family, but even just Sakura and all the time he missed with her.

That's one meaning. The other meaning? More time at home. Meaning more time with Sakura. Meaning more time alone with her. Meaning more time alone with her at night. Conclusion? MAYBE another child. At this rate, I'm satisfied with the SasuSaku content they've provided. If they had more, I'd be ecstatic. Now, I'm just waiting for a second Uchiha child. That'd make me so so happy to see, not only that they're "proactive" (wink wink) but that they want to expand their family together.

SECONDLY.

When Sasuke comes home and sees Sakura sleeping.

Yes I gotta admit, it's slightly creepy that he's watching her sleep

BUT.

If you remember this particular moment when he makes a small breathing sound.

I realized that that's a sigh of relief

I realized that that's a sigh of relief.

Going to the past, having been HORRIBLY rejected and seen as a creepy pervert by the younger version of his wife, I'm sure Sasuke feared that something like that would do something to ruin their future.

I'm sure when he got home and saw her sleeping peacefully waiting for him to come home, he was relieved that nothing had changed, because I'm sure he was worried something would've happened.

LASTLY.

Everyone's talking about his thank you/apology, whatever the translation really was. Either way, Sakura's response stayed the same.

"Thanks for everything" or "Sorry for everything"

"Thanks for everything" or "Sorry for everything". Whichever Sasuke said, the normal response would be "it's alright", "you're fine", "you don't have to apologize", "it's no problem". Even just "you're fine" is sufficient. But she said

"We're fine."

WE.

Not you. WE.

It probably doesn't mean much, but hearing her say something like that after Sasuke's worrying about his future with her changing, it probably meant the world to him to know that their relationship, their bond, their marriage is fine.

Because when you're married, you're no longer two different people. You're united together as one marriage. Husband and wife. So it's no longer you or me, it's we. As in, the two of them together.

Kinda just hearing her say that really made my heart melt. Their whole interaction this episode made my heart melt. On top of that, the way they looked and smiled at each other was just beautiful and genuine.

I'm sorry to those of you who aren't satisfied, but I'm gonna be honest, seeing these two in this episode was just beautiful. 😭🌸💙

 😭🌸💙
