Want to know what sucks? Being deaf. What sucks even more? Being in high school and being deaf.
Throw in an abusive family and Jesus Christ does it take the cake.
For some reason though, I thought a group might help me. I found a help group for the mute and deaf, something I try to escape to when I possibly can. That's when I meet Mrs. Rose, and the doctor that comes and picks her up.
From there I meet more and more, and for the first time in my life, I feel like my deafness isn't holding me back.
It's freeing me.
