They dropped Mikhail and Gideon on the ground in the alleyway just outside the club and then slammed the door shut on us. I look to Sasha feeling a little less drug up and a lot more angry, “What the hell was that in there? Just what did you do to us?” I growl at her. She is rubbing her arm like it was still sore where they had been holding her, “I basically drugged you so that you would be more docile during everything. Look It’s not a big deal I just wanted to make sure that none of you guys got to riled up because that would have been bad news.”

“Docile?” I say through clenched teeth and then point to Mikhail and Gideon, “You call that docile?” I feel my wolf surface and I lunge toward Sasha but Victor grabs me and holds me back, “Elena, She’s your friend.” I glare at her and she seems to be looking a me with surprise in her eyes but right now all I feel is angry, “Some friend! You could have told us the whole story instead of letting us go in their blind. I mean who are you really Sasha? Were you really locked up in some kind of prison?” I throw my questions at her and she flinches back with each one.

Victor is lightly stroking my arm with his thumb as if that is going to calm me down right now. Sasha looks down at the ground, “I understand that you’re mad at me—“ I let out a loud chuckle interrupting her, “Mad? You think I’m mad at you?” She keeps her eyes fixated on the ground.

“Oh I’m not mad at you. I’m furious. You could have put us all in danger Sasha and we wouldn’t have been able to protect ourselves. I don’t even know who you are, but you’re clearly not the person I thought you were because my ‘friend’ would have told me the truth about everything. I wouldn’t have had to hear it from some voodoo witch woman.” Sasha looks up at me with hurt in her eyes, “Oh like you’ve been so honest with me Elena? I mean it’s your fault we’re even in this position right now.” Her words felt like knives and they cut me deep. The only person I had let close to me and I felt like I didn’t even know the real her. It was all smoke and mirrors with her. I relaxed in Victors hold, “You can let go of me.” I say with a calm voice.

He hesitates for a moment and then let’s me go. I stare at her for a moment, and then look away from her to Victor, “Let’s get them into the car and then get out of here.” I don’t say anything more to Sasha after that. Victor and I have to carry the boys back the car and it takes us nearly a half hour to do so because well I mean I’m not a bodybuilder and Victor’s only one man. Once everyone is safely in the car I take the shotgun next to Victor and Sasha sits in-between the sleeping Gideon and Mikhail.

The ride is silent as the grave until I look over toward Victor and notice that he’s looking a little pale, “Are you feeling okay?” I ask him. He clenches the steering wheel and looks over to me briefly, “Yeah—Totally fine over here.” His voice sounds tense and I can see a little sheen on his skin. I narrow my eyes on him and then look away with a sigh, “Sasha I think something’s wrong with Victor.”

“I said I’m fine Elena!” He barks at me and I look to him a little surprised. I hear movement in the back seat and then suddenly Sasha has popped her head in-between our seats looking towards Victor, “She’s right you’re looking a little pale. Maybe we should pull over for a minute.” Victor clenches the steering wheel harder, “I said I’m fine now sit back.” He commands. Sasha hesitates for a moment before sitting back into her seat. It gets quiet in the car again and I can hear the sound of Victors heart beating hard and his breathing sounds a bit short. I bite my lip not sure what I should do but it was clear that something was happening.
