I writing a chapter every night now because I'm really bored and have nothing to do! I hope you're all enjoying the story so far. It's kinda sad state right now with Gerard leaving for a whole year :( thank you for all the amazing comments!

When I opened my eyes I panicked to see Gerard was still here. I had nightmares all night of him leaving me and not coming back.

"Gerard!" I shouted when I saw he wasn't beside me in bed

"Yeah?" He jumped out of the bathroom. His mouth cover toothpaste foam and his tooth brush in his hand

"Sorry, I thought.." I didn't finished my sentence thinking that I would breakdown again.

We got dressed and made breakfast. We hugged each other every few minutes, trying to always stay close to each other

"What time do you have to go to the bus?" I asked stabbing my pancake with my fork

"2 o clock" We both looked at the clock.

We had 30 minutes left.

I helped him get his bags into his car. We drove to the hotel where the tour bus was.

"We'll try Skype every night right?" Gerard took his eyes off the road and looked over at me

"Yeah" I smiled weakly at him

"We will start planning when to see each other next?"

"Okay" I looked out the window as I felt the emptiness develop in me

When we arrived at the parking lot the the rest of the guys were there. The girlfriends, close friends and some family members were there to say goodbye.

We got out of the car and joined he group. I looked over to see Frank hugging Jamia. Her head on his shoulder

"Be safe okay Frankie?" She stroked his cheek

"I will, I love you" He hugged her one more time and kissed her cheek. He came over to me

"I'll look after him, don't worry" he whispered as he hugged me goodbye. He got onto the bus which was running now.

Gerard looked at me and pushed my hair away from my eyes.

"I love you" He smiled

"I love you too." I whispered

He leaned in a kissed me lightly savouring every second of it

I watched Gerard get on the bus the door closing behind him. I had an instinct to just run on to the bus but I held myself back. I waved goodbye to him as the bus pulled away and drove off.

I looked around to see everyone getting back into their cars. Jamia wiped away her tears, composing herself before she waved goodbye to me and got in her car.

I sat in Gerard's car and stayed in the parking lot for an hour. I felt like all my motivation in life was gone. I just wanted to sleep away the year.

I collected my things from his apartment and took one of his shirts that he left behind. I wanted to remember his smell. It was the close thing I had to him.

I opened the door to hear laughter in the kitchen. Mom face dropped when she saw me.

"Honey, are you okay?" She got up from the table and hugged me. Her friend turned around who I presumed was Sarah.

"Yeah, he's gone" I said quietly still gripping his T-shirt tightly in my hand

"Oh sweetie..." Mom looked sympathetic at me

"I'm going up to my room" I mumbled turning around and exiting the room

"Does she have a boyfriend?" I heard Sarah ask Mom as I closed the door

"Yeah, they met a couple of months ago. He's in a band...uh.. I forget the name.. Something like "Romantic Chemicals". He's the lead singer" She explained

"Have they broken up?" Sarah said quietly

"No no, he's gone on tour for a year"

When Mom said "year" a pain shot into my heart. I felt exhausted, emotionally exhausted. I knew this was going to be a long year. I had nothing to look forward in life anymore. My University life wasn't going to start anytime soon. My boyfriend is gone around the world while I just sat in a shop. I felt my life pass me by and I was doing nothing.

****

It's been two weeks since Gerard went. Every minute felt like an hour. All I have been doing is sleeping, eating (barely) and sitting in the shop.

I stared at my phone looking through Instagram. I go on Gerard's account to see his latest photo is on stage with the guys in England. I sigh and lock my phone.

"Honey, you wouldn't run out and get sandwiches for both of us?" Mom walked out looking through her purse and giving me money

"Ok" I said as I stood up.

"Lisa, you can't act like this for the rest of the year. I know it's hard for you but you have to pick yourself up and get on with life." Mom said

"I have no life. I don't have any friends, I don't have a job and I'm not going to university" Mom looked down when I mentioned university. She feels guilty that she couldn't afford for me to go.

"Honey-"

"Whatever Mom, just leave me alone" I walked out of the shop and headed towards the cafe down the street.

I got the sandwiches I walked out of the cafe looking at the ground. Suddenly I stumbled backwards and nearly dropped the sandwiches. I looked up to see this guy with black hair covering his eyes. He was tall and very thin

"Watch where you're going!" He shouted

"Fuck you" I snapped back not being in the mood to be pushed around

"Bitch" He mumbled as he entered the cafe.

I flipped him off when he turned his back to me. I walked back feeling upset.

"I'm back" I said closing the door behind me

"Great, I'm starving" Mom grabbed one of the sandwiches off me and ripped open the plastic case.

We ate our sandwiches in silence watching people pass the shop on the street

"So you going to Skype Gerard tonight?" Mom asked wiping mayonnaise off the corner of her mouth

"Maybe, it's hard to organise a time to Skype because he's busy and all" I shrugged

That night I watched tv but not focusing on it. I looked at my laptop every couple of minutes to check my Skype.

"I'm going to bed, good night" Mom yawned holding a glass of water

"Okay, night" I stared at my laptop

"Sweetie, you should get some rest. I'm sure he got distracted tonight." Mom came over and kissed my forehead

I stay up until 2am to make sure Gerard wasn't going to Skype me. I didn't understand how much I missed him. It was a physical pain constantly in my heart. How did I live life before I met him? That night I felt dosed off hoping that Gerard just fell asleep or something and wasn't forgetting about me
