We make it back to the lodge and I am getting kinda nervous at this point because I know I will be outnumbered so I am not as confident. We get to the front door and I hide behind Mike which Jess seems to notice.
"Hey you'll be fine." Jess says, trying to reassure me.
We walk in and they lead me into the living room.
"Hey guys. Glad you're back." Josh says and then he notices me.
I quickly grip onto the back of Mike's shirt and hide behind him.
"Josh please don't freak out." Mike says.
"Who is that?" Josh asks and backs up a little.
"This is Skye we met her in the woods." Jess says.
"Why are you on my mountain?" Josh asks.
"I've lived here my whole life." I say quietly.
"You are the girl." Josh says.
"Yea the girl that ran away from you." I say.
I explain my story to everyone and they all agree that I can stay. Josh sends Mike and Jess off to the guest cabin.
"Hey Skye. You look like you haven't had a bath in awhile wanna take one with me?" Sam asks.
"Sure. I don't really know how to take a bath though." I say.
Sam looks shocked for a minute but then smiles and drags me to the bathroom. Sam goes to cut the water on.
"Sammy! Skye!" Josh yells.
"Yeah?" Sam asks.
"Do you wanna help me get this fire going?" Josh asks.
"Well, we were just getting into the bath!" Sam yells.
"Oh! Do you need any help with that?" Josh asks.
"Hardy Har!" Sam yells.
"Is it not normal for someone to help you take a bath?" I question Sam and she gives me a soft smile.
"No it's normal but we just don't need his help." Sam says.
"Oh okay." I mutter.
Sam goes to cut on the water but it's cold.
"God it's so cold." Sam mutters.
I stick my hand under the water.
"Not really. This just feels like the lake water." I say with a small smile.
"Alright Josh lets see if you know how to hook the hot water up in your big fancy lodge." Sam mutters and we go to find Josh.
We walk down the stairs and walk up to Josh, Chris, and Ashley.
"Josh! No hot water is kinda an oversight don't ya think?" Sam asks.
"I'm fine with the cold water." I say and Josh smiles at me.
"Yeah. Yeah. You just gotta fire up the boiler. It's in the basement." Josh says with a small chuckle.
Josh sends Chris and Ashley to find a spirit board and is now leading us to the basement to turn on the water. Josh grabs a flashlight.
"So, Skye you live alone?" Josh asks me.
"Uh yeah. I lived with my grandma but she passed away." I explain.
"I'm sorry to hear that." Sam says.
"Oh no it's fine. She was ready to move on." I explain with a small smile.
