"It looks like a family of crazy people" my mom said
"Yeah don't tell me"
"Did you find out why did he broke up with the girl?" she questioned while drinking her martini in my purple couch
"No... I am not interested in it" I said while writing some things down
"You are" my mom said while devouring her olives "I am how can you not be?!"
"Because" I looked at her "it's none of my business "
"Since when is that a reason?"
"Mom, we are in a fake marriage I don't need to know his whole life"
"Wanting it or not you will end by knowing and entering each other lives..."
"I am just waiting for the three years to go by so I can divorce him. I am already on the 8th month just keep rooting for me" I told her while working on my computer
"I like that idea of divorcing him. He is way like your father I do not wish for you to be like me" she commented while stirring her martini with the stick of the olives "Although for some reason I like him and Nana likes him... You will never find a guy Nana likes"
"Well liking or not anything but Blaze is good for me"
"Oh by the way your Nana is mad at you"
"When isn't she?"
"She said since you married this year you should have given the Christmas Lunch"
"I told you I couldn't I was way to busy on that day. I had the party"
"I know... what did you on New Years Eve? "
"Went out with Miles, Jenny, Andre and Diana"
"What about Blaze?"
"What about him?"
"He is your husband"
"Fake husband mom"
"Right... But you didn't spent the new year together"
"Nope he said he had plans and stuff to do" I said while clicking on my keyboard
"Were you mad at him?"
"Why should I?"
"I don't know honey. Fake or not he is your husband shouldn't you pass New Year's Eve together?" she questioned standing up and filling the glass with more Martini
"Guess not"
"Where was he?"
"You realise you are asking questions that I have no answer to right?" I said scanning some files
"You are not in love but you can have a friendship" my mom said sipping down the martini. She has been here all day, talking and walking and drinking in my office. Don't get me wrong I love my mom, but I am working and she is quite a distraction she keeps on asking and asking questions.
She as been feeling lonely since the new year started because on the 2nd of January my dad left to one of his casinos on LA. It seems that happened some complications with some celebrities there and needs to solve it.
So my mom instead of talking with her unemployed friends she decided to spent the day with me and her new favourite topic is Blaze, his crazy family and Sarah.
"I though that I could have a friendship with him but that was weeks ago" I clarified
"I know you must feel weird about all that... but you don't know what really happened?! Maybe she went by to just give him the flowers as in a thank you for showing at my weeding?!"
