Part 27 - Did something happen?

I open the door to my room and in front of me is Charlie, who doesn't seem to have changed quickly enough and is now standing shirtless in front of me.

TW Body - Issues

He stares at me in shock and doesn't move a bit. I've never seen him like this despite moving in the same changing room. Charlie is still standing there, but now a small tear rolls down his cheek. "I..." "Here" I quickly hand him a blanket. He accepts them gratefully and holds them in front of his upper body.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to..." I say softly. "May I... may I hug you? So only if that's okay" he nods with tears in his eyes. The next moment I pull him close to me and kiss his hair. "I didn't want you to see me like that" he cries and I just can't help it even though I would love to help him. "Is there anything I can do to make you feel better?" he doesn't say anything and wraps his arms even tighter around me. I do the same. "Do you want to stay at home today?" "Absolutely not" he looks at me indignantly.

"Did something happen?" I look questioningly at Charlie, who looks like he's been crying. "No, everything is fine" "Okay" I don't keep asking. If anything happens, Nick will know anyway, or probably soon.

"When are we actually leaving?" "Since we don't have to wait for the train, we can always leave" "Okay. Is there anything else we need to take with us?" "No, yesterday I packed everything and loaded it into the car" "Oh that's why you sneaked through the house yesterday with a huge backpack" "Exactly" Nick grins. "Come on, let's go" on the way to the car we all take our jackets from the cloakroom.

"It's much more pleasant to be on the road like this" we are sitting in a minibus, which my mother usually uses in this way. She thinks we should be in the same car, but not crammed together like in a normal car.

"How do you actually do it when you're back in Sweden, with your relationship and stuff?" "I don't know" I shrug and take Simon's hand. "It would be so nice if it just wasn't so complicated." "Yes." Charlie lays his head on Nick's shoulder and closes his eyes.

The day was so beautiful. Nick and Charlie took us to a really nice beach and told their story about it. We were in the water for a short time, so not really because it's too cold, which was also a lot of fun. In between we ate and took photos together.

At the very end, when it was already relatively late, we sat together at the beach and just talked. I really appreciate moments like this because I don't have that much. And although Malin and Oscar were always there, logically, I felt free today for the first time in a long time, as stupid as that may sound.
