The after affects of the death of Harry Clearwater was pretty instantaneous, his two children Leah and Seth Clearwater phasing the following day. This however, seemed to be more of an issue than the solving of a problem seeing as Leah was Sam's ex-fiancé and now she was a member of his pack.

Elise couldn't understand what the girl was going through, the pain of having to watch the man she loved love another woman stronger than he ever did her. She couldn't possibly relate to it but she tried to be sensitive to it whenever the newly turned wolf came around sporting a very large chip on her shoulder. "Are you ever going to get over that?" Elise couldn't help herself, the pack seeming to quiet at the words.

"Excuse me?"

"The brooding, grunting, dirty looks. Your dad died and that sucks, I'm sorry trust me I get it and now you have to follow around the same guy who broke your heart, also ass but it can be less ass if you chill on the attitude."

Leah's newly cut jet black hair shifted around her shoulders with every movement, her fresh phase making her extremely susceptible to lashing out due to lack of self control. "Do you really want to get me angry?"

"Get as angry as you please, wouldn't exactly be a new look for you. It would really just prove my point. Mourn for your loss, no one will blame you for that but being a bitch is definitely something we can call you out on."

Heating up, Leah stood from the wooden table of Emily's shared home with Sam. No one was silencing the ker, the words she was preaching not really wrong, they were simply just words everyone was thinking but too polite or too tired of dealing with Leah's attitude to spur a new one on. "You talk a big game, but we all know you won't do anything."

Small chuckles fell from Elise's lips, her head coming from looking down at her plate, her brilliant blue eyes glowing the way they did when she was using her gift. "Try me."

Paul wanted to stop her, a hand reaching forward to stop his imprint from standing from her seat but Sam stopped him with a shake of his head. This was good, Leah needed some discipline that he was too reluctant to give and it would be a prime time to see Elise's progress with her powers.

Their altercation moved outside, Leah still shaking and Elise standing perfectly poised, her hands are her sides twitching to use the new tricks she'd learned. From the porch a ways away, the pack watched with baited breath, silent bets being made between them.

"I'm waiting," Elise instigated, that being the last straw before Leah fully shifted into her wolf, sharp teeth clashing at the girl before jumping towards her but her steps seized before she could land a single paw on her.

With a hand raised in the air, the power Elise projected had the wolf floating in midair, her dark brown eyes filling with fear when she realized he had no control of her limbs, her movements completely submissive to the girl standing comfortably on land. "Now, as I was saying. The real attitude has to go, we're a really good bunch and I'm sure that under all the angst you're really cool too. So, how about we come to an agreement where you're as civil as possible around the dream team over there," Nodding to Sam and Emily her point was made, her magic lifting on Leah's large werewolf head giving her the opportunity to respond. "I can be really nice, Leah. I can be a great person and an even better friend but the choice is yours. Civil Leah or angsty Leah stuck in a past that can easily be forgotten?"

With great reluctance, Leah nodded her head. "Yes Civil, yes angsty?"

Trusting herself, Elise allowed the wolf full movement of her body and to her pleasure, Leah backed down going back to her human self naked as the day she came. "I still don't like you, no matter how civil I will be."

"Of course you don't," Elise had a smile on her face, knowing to herself that Leah liked her more than she let on. She just needed someone to challenge her, someone to treat her like more than some fragile piece of glass in the situation she'd been thrown in. "Don't lie to yourself, Leah. You like me more than you let on."

"You're unbelievably conceited, it's disgusting."

"You turn into a giant werewolf and I'm being forced to look at your naked body, if my stomach can remain this strong, yours can too."

Elise was walking towards the house, already breaking she contact with the first female wolf of the packs kind, but had she not she would've seen the slight quirk of Leah's lip before she retreated into the woods to get dressed.

"Look at you, little badass." Embry praised, feeling oddly aroused at the show of power Elise showed. "That was hot."

Paul's low growl was unmistakable, his hand automatically wrapping around her waist to show his pack member who she was soul bonded to, not like she would've acted on Embry's advances anyway. "I could use it on you? Would it make you pitch a little tent?"

"Little?"

Elise laughed at his voice, tone much more high pitched than usual as he took offense to the choice of words. Her humor spurred on the rest of the group until they all were laughing at Embry's expense who gave up on defending himself and simply slouched in the chair, mumbling to himself.

Sam wouldn't admit it out loud, afraid to ruin the moment, but Elise was changing the pack. She was a natural beacon for happiness and somehow, someway she was glueing together all their broken pieces. Even Seth, filled with sadness at his loss couldn't seem to stop smiling in her presence and for once, Sam felt like they were going to be okay as long as she stayed around and he would fight like hell to keep her alive to make sure that continued.
