Death Deception = Angry Todoroki

Todoroki looks at y/n who sips his tea, the two sitting in Todoroki's bedroom.  The red and white hair boy was still struggling to believe that the one he thought was dead, the one he mourned over, was sitting right in front of him.

"I apologize for deceiving you, Todoroki." Y/n says, looking at the boy in front of him.

"H...how are you still alive?" Todoroki asks, as many questions as he had, this was the most urgent one.

Y/n chuckles. "You see, I never died." Todoroki looks at him in confusion.

Flashback-

The hitman assigned to kill Y/n L/n was currently setting up his spot to take the kill. Looking through the scope, he sees y/n looking right at him. With eyes widen, he quickly takes the shot. The bullet pierces y/n's phone as the bullet slashes a bit of y/n's shoulder before he falls onto the ground.

Aizawa runs into the room. "Find that hitman now!" He yells as y/n clenches his bloody arm. Kneeling down in front of him, Aizawa looks at his student. "You need a hospital, kid." He says. Y/n shakes his head. "It isn't bad enough, just a few stitches." Y/n responds as Aizawa gives him a 'Are you serious?' look.

"If my classmates come here, don't tell them that I made it." Aizawa looks at him like he's crazy. "Why?! Are you insane?!" He exclaims. A medic runs into the room, going to y/n to patch up the bleeding.

"If the villains believe I'm dead then we can take the upper hand, but even if my  peers knew I was alive, I don't believe for my plan to work, that they'll be able to deceive the villains to throw them off." Y/n explains as Aizawa sighs in exasperation. "Please, Mr. Aizawa." Y/n says as he flinches from the pain.

"Fine." Aizawa mutters before the two hear Todoroki yelling in the background. "If Todoroki finds out, he's going to be angry." Aizawa says. "He deserves to be angry when he does." Y/n replies.

-End of flashback-

"Why did you hide it from us? Do you not trust us?" Todoroki asks as all kinds of emotions roll over him.

"You guys' aren't good actors to be blunt about it." Todoroki raises a brow and looks at the floor. "Does anyone else know you're alive?" Todoroki asks.

"Tsuragmae, you and Aizawa." Y/n answers.

Anger fills Todoroki. "So they lied to us this whole time." He growls, clenching his fists. "I take fault in it Todoroki, but the only reason I came here is because I need you to be my inside investigator." Y/n explains.

Todoroki snaps his head towards y/n. "So I mourned over you for nothing? I was lied to? Do you even trust me!?" Todoroki says, his voice rising in anger as he stands up.

"Todoroki--"

"No! The only reason why I'm here was to send my father to prison, where he rightfully belonged but because of you, he's dead! So many people have died because of you! Who's next?! One of our friends?! What if you actually die, y/n?!" Todoroki yells.

Y/n looks at him with no emotion as he stands up. "I know the things I did have hurt many people, that people you and I were close to were killed and I hold no excuses for that. I've hurt you because of my actions that I decided to take, but if I didn't trust you. Would I be here with you, this very second?" Y/n asks as Todoroki looks at him with widen eyes, a few tears rolling down his cheeks.

Someone knocks on the door. "Sho, it's almost 5 in the morning, why are you still up?" It was Rei.

"I'm sorry, Mom. I can't sleep." Todoroki replies.

"Is there anything I can do?" She asks softly.

Todoroki looks at y/n and walks towards him, pushing him into his closet. "Don't make any noise." He closes the door and opens his bedroom door, talking to Rei.

Y/n begins blinking, the world around him starts spinning, he begins shaking and he starts breathing harshly. Clamping his mouth shut, his claustrophobia kicking in but he tries to remain as quiet as possible for Todoroki's sake. Flashbacks of y/n being in those tanks as his parents did tests on him start washing to the surface as his eyes start to water. He starts struggling to breathe as if he was underwater with no oxygen.

He hears Todoroki walking back to the closet, he opens the door and y/n drops into Todoroki's arms, the two fall on the ground.

"Y/n? Are you okay?!" Todoroki moves himself to a position where he holds onto the back of the tired males head. Y/n breathing comes to a slow as sweat drips off his brow and tears being wiped away by Todoroki's sleeve.

"I'm claustrophobic." Y/n breathes out, the memories from his past disappearing as fast as they came.

"Why didn't you say anything?!" Todoroki whispers in panic.

"I didn't want you to get in trouble or be caught." Todoroki sighs and releases his grip on the other male. "Speak up next time, will you?" Y/n nods awkwardly.

The room fills with slience for a few minutes. Y/n's panic breaths coming to a slow as their breathing calms down.

"What do you want me to do for this investigation?" Y/n looks at him.

"I need you to see how Naomasa got evidence towards me when I 'killed' my parents and find Aoyama's location. Since they still believe I'm dead, don't say anything to anyone, even to the rest of the squad."  Todoroki nods.

"What will you do?" Todoroki asks.

"I'm staying with Mr. Aizawa, I have a new burner phone so send me intel on that. For now, I'll remain 'dead' but you'll be carrying the investigation from here on out." Todoroki nods once again.

"When will you tell the rest of our friends that you're alive?"

"When the time is right." Y/n answers.

It was a little early for students to be in the classroom that morning as Todoroki walks down UA halls with no emotion but anger in his fists. His complexion expressionless but with a glint of anger and rage. Dark circles under his eyes from getting no sleep that night.

Barging into the teachers lounge, the only teacher in the room was Aizawa who sat up from his yellow sleeping bag.

"Todoroki?" He asks, standing up and getting out of his sleeping bag.

"You knew." Todoroki growls, glaring at his teacher.

"Knew what, kid? You gotta be a little more specific than that." Aizawa replies.

"That y/n was alive this whole time and you didn't say shit!" Todoroki yells.

Aizawa eyes widen and a thought pops into his head. 'So that's where he went last night.'

"I had no choice. It was apart of y/n's plan--" Todoroki walks towards him and clenches his shirts.

"You lied this whole time! Why didn't you say anything?! You made me believe that my friend was fucking dead!!" Todoroki screams as his eyes begin to water.

"We had to make his death believable, kid. If I had the choice to tell you, I would have." Aizawa responds.

"Bullshit." Todoroki whispers as Aizawa gave him a sympathetic look.

"You knew." Todoroki whispers, his anger rising again. "You knew! You knew! This whole fucking time!" He yells, punching Aizawa in the chest over and over again. Aizawa hugs him as Todoroki thrashes in his grip before giving up.

"You bastard. You knew." He whispers, tears rolling down his face.
