The car ride was silent as Lacey sat in between Abel and Thomas, both asleep in their car seats. Jax was driving and holding Tara's hand as they listened to the radio.
Lacey looked through the window as they passed from Nevada to California. She could tell it was most definitely going to be a big change in her life as soon as she passed the Welcome to Charming sign.
Once they pulled into TM the car stopped, letting the bikes roll past them. Jax got out and opened the back door, surprised to see Lacey sleeping with her head against the side of the car seat. Her chest rose and fell gently as she slept. Then he noticed Abel's hand entwined with Lacey's. Gently, he picked her up and unbuckled Abel with one hand, picking him up as well. Tara followed with Thomas's carrier in her hand to the clubhouse.
