If this is a dream,
Please don't wake me up.
Your eyes, how they gleam!
I can't ever get enough.

Please, someone pinch me!
I must know if you are real.
My excitement buzzes like a bee
As I anticipate your presence.

I refuse to blink my eyes
For the sake of seeing you.
I don't want to face the lies.
The ones you've thrown my way.

I won't let you slip through my fingers,
Like you so desperately want me to do.
The feeling of your breath on me lingers,
As I open my eyes to see nothing there.
