You know that feeling when you want to cry, but don't have the energy to shed another tear? That feeling of being completely empty with nothing left to give? The vast void of emotions, the numbness engrained into your very soul, but on your face you wear a smile. That feeling?
I think that's far worse than just being able to cry because, why cry when no one cares? Why pour out your soul from your eyes when you're already so exhausted? You just let yourself be numb because, what else are you supposed to do?
