Your hazelnut locks
Fall loosely from your braid
I can hear the clock
As your feelings start to fadeMy smile falls flat
While my tears kiss the air
Arms falling at
My sides, this isn't fairWinds pick up pace
Fly aways becoming visible
As the strands race
Your ribbon not invincibleHave to let you go
Like the ribbon in your hair
Entranced at its flow
As it flies to who knows where~a poem by Elizabeth Kay~

Hey Reading Mice! Thought I'd post this little poem up on here, it's based off a prompt my friend gave me in the Discord server I'm on "The Literary Lounge". I'd love it if you'd join me there! Just click the link tree on my profile and click the Discord link to be invited!
What do you think of the poem? The prompt was "Hair Ribbon" so this is what I came up with! I wrote this in like ten minutes and thought it was cute so here it is. ☺️
